The Battle for Hougoumont, Waterloo, June 18th, 1815 (1 Viewer)

A very impressive diorama George, I always enjoy looking at your small scale setups.

George, just found this remarkable display this AM. I don't know where to start but this is a beautiful layout. I love the buildings and the grounds. Something surreal about such a death grapple taking place on such a beautifully laid out and kept estate. There are so many things happening the photos have to be studied to be appreciated. Brilliant work and your effort really shows. And, as usual, the figures are fantastic in their massed formations and placed exactly so. It is always satisfying to complete something one has always wanted to do. Congratulations on all of it. -- Al

Al,
Thanks very much for the positive feedback and the kind words, I appreciate you taking the time to write.

As a kid, this chateau fascinated me, just like the Gettysburg cyclorama of Picketts Charge and the Borodino cyclorama of the French attacks on the Great redoubt.

One of the joys of this hobby is I get to recreate those fantastic images from my youth that I saw in pictures in books and also in person (will never, ever forget the first time I laid eyes on the Gettysburg cyclorama as a ten year old) through toy soldiers.

Thanks again for your comments............
