The Battle of Talavera, 1809, French forces vs British/Spanish/Portuguese forces.....

French Infantry and Cavalry storm a redoubt defended by Spanish and Portuguese troops while British forces defend their right flank and cavalry protects their left......

British and Spanish Cavalry charge the right flank of the French, only to be met by Polish Lancers and French Dragoons.......................

 

[Warrior]

French forces are driven back with heavy losses and the battle ends.............

Thanks Rich, there are about 1,000 infantry and 300 cavalry as well as 36 guns and crews on this display..........

Awesome set up George! This is a good reminder of how the smaller figures can be used to show massed armies... I can't imagine how large that battlefield would be in 54mm!
