Staggering. What an amazing setup. It’s so vast, but at the same time believable. Well done. Robin.

Thanks Robin, did a lot of research on this one; in truth, that was half the fun, setting it up and enjoying it is the other half....................

I know exactly what you mean. When I embrace a era in history, I attack it from all sides, usually starting with YouTube, Google, followed by dvd’s and books, all of which is an attempt to bring me up to speed. Certainly this a big part of the fun, the research phase, followed by the sourcing available in this hobby the collecting phase and finally the inspirational phase to replicate as best as possible the history setting. Certainly one can get a tremendous amount of satisfaction with the end result, which is obvious in the effort you have gone to with this enormous diorama. Again well done and appreciate you sharing. Robin.:salute::

Robin, you must be constantly watching, researching and reading because you have EVERYTHING. :) Also keep up your positive comments. I don't believe I've seen a duplicate comment yet, over the 100's or 1000's of comments you make every year.

Certain aspects of a layout can be challenging; on this one, it was replicating the Reichswald but still show action within it, it was a densely wooded area, mine does not convey that completely, but in some spots it does.

When I roll one of these out, they either come together from the beginning or they are a hot mess and I scrap it and either circle back or move on to another one.

George, the scale you use is perfect to capture the scope and vista of a battle. Especially like the detailing on these figs. Really like the British armored cars and German horse units. A pleasure to view. Thanks for posting. Chris

That is a fantastic layout. There is much detail, the artillery emplacements, the stretcher bearers, the men on horse back!

Thanks so much Chris, the reasons you point out are why I am drawn to this scale, 15mm is too small, 54/60mm is too big, for me 20mm is perfect.

Thanks Walt; the SS calvary are among my favorites, they painted up really well,......................I tend to put small detail things in for a certain touch, glad you noticed.

I didn't notice your SS cavalry at first, also a favorite of mine. I have the full set of Six TGM Summer SS Cavalry troop displayed crossing the K & C pontoon bridge with some walking figures.

Outstanding George! You've been doing massive layouts like this for so long that I bet you're a bona fide battle strategist by now! When I look at this I think of, among other things, the time and enjoyment that goes into it including the research, figure/AFV/accessory acquisition, painting of the figures, etc. That room must be a great place to go to enjoy the hobby and just decompress for hours. It's great see your work, thanks!

Thanks Joe, glad you like it..............and yes, my room to go enjoy the hobby and decompress for sure..................

Well done as always George. Looks like you had a lot of fun setting that up. Glad you were able to get some hobby time in and decompress.

No wonder your vendor tables are always so beautifully set up and arranged. You get lots of practice both at home and on the road.
