The best bowling attack in the world !! (1 Viewer)

It is all the tapestry of English literature.
Even James Joyce would agree.

So moving to see the Proteas lining up as guard of honor for Ricky,s last innings in international cricket.
A great moment of sportsmanship. He was a fine batsman

Thant was the only highlight mate,well done SA you can't play 3 bowlers fresh from state cricket but oh well bring on Sri-Lanka flog them 3 nil and still get to number 1.......................^&grin
Steyns last tour of Australia maybe ??

A deserved win to SA. Australia were only in the series because of Clarke. The batting today was a bit insipid. No one did their reputation any good. It was a day that Cowan in particular should've bedded down that opening spot.

That's the way the cookie crumbles i guess but it was a bad performance by Australia and a very good performance by the proteas. They deserve to be number one. Sad way to end Ponting's career but he was a great player and will be remembered for his great performances.

Hey the Ashes is coming up soon.
Should be a goodie
two evenly matched teams
Lots at stake all round

Yeah looking forward to it Rob might go double or nothing on that figure he owes me....................{eek3}

The Australian cricket team would have to be big under dogs for the up and coming Tests against England. Bowling attack average and batting is poor. But maybe a ambush will happen. Chris.{sm4}

Hey the Ashes is coming up soon. YES
Should be a goodie YES

I fear that it is anything but two closely matched teams. I am always hopeful but I think England are a professional, successful team that will remain relatively stable for a few years. Good openers, strong middle order, great wicketkeeper/batsmen and a strong attack. In particular, they have what the England teams of the 90s and early 2000s sometimes lacked - these guys are tough. No backward steps or sports psychologists for this lot.

For Australia to win, we need a dry summer to lessen the home ground advantage, we need Cook to fail, not just underperform but fail miserably, and we need injuries, form and umpiring decisions to favour us. We also need three of Clarke, Cowan, Hughes, Warner, Watson (pretty boy) to play like gods. We then need three of our fast bowlers to remain fit for two consecutive sessions and picth the ball up so that it can swing. That said, if the ball does swing, we will lose 3 - 0.

Just so my credentials are taken seriously, these are other cricket predictions that I have made during discussions over the years:

Hayden won't play ten Tests
Warner won't make it as a cricketer
Swann is an awful spinner that Australian batsmen will destroy
Cook's technique will never let him succeed at Test level
Warne cannot be as big a fool as the press have made him out to be

I am quite the talent spotter!

Jack
