The Brit Spitfire!!! (1 Viewer)

Well, a few pics of the new Brit spitfire which, landed recently. Its a very nice aircraft (how could a spit not be???) paint scheme is well done (though, I would have prefered a darker shade of grey but, thats a personal choice) having said that it will blend perfectly with the Typhoon for a later war diorama of a brit airfield

Also, as someone asked for a pic of the mapleleaf a picture of that also. The standing figure for the aircraft is also very well done but, did not have time to take those pics and, for Rob the Harris figure is superb and will look excellent in the dioramas we discussed!!

Anyway, having just seen the Dora I thought that was the best warbird K&C had done but, hands down the winner is the new spitfire

PS. thats not a hairline crack on the windshield as I thought when I looked at the pics and ran to the aircraft it was a small hair!!! big sigh of relief!!

Superb pics Mitch, what a lovely looking aircraft, can't wait to get mine. I think the paint job looks splendid and as you say will go very nicely with the Typhoon{bravo}} Brilliant job K&C^&cool. Can't wait to get Mr Harris either Mitch, one of the architects of final victory he really deserves his figure amongst the others. Thanks for posting Mitch{bravo}}

Your overusing the confused icon quite a lot lately watch you don't overheat!!!. No its not a canadian spitfire. This is a english version, used by an english pilot in fact quite a famous one to boot. it has the canadian emblem on because he was in command of the squadron which, had canadian pilots flying.

Yes old lard arse was very happy swigging champers in his Chateau far from the front line whilst his boys were dying over southern England wasn't he. There are many German military leaders admired and almost loved by their men in WW2 , Rommel being the most famous perhaps, but by the end of summer 1940 Herman the German wasn't really up there with the likes of Rommel was he! (I wonder what the residents of Germany made of his famous ' No allied Bomber will reach the Ruhr' quote!{eek3})

I read that afterwards Hitler while berating him in a discussion with others actually mocked him calling him Meyer!!! Not good when your own leader mocks you openly to others in the party!!

What would have happened if it were not for the Few is unimaginable... I wonder what fat Mayer felt when Galland said he needed a squadron of Spitfires{sm4}{sm4}{sm4} Pretty sure that the Riechmarshall didn't take that complaint/excuse to Hitler:wink2:{sm4}{sm4}
