The USS Eagle was made by Trophy in the late 1990s. It was one of three ships made by Trophy (along with the CSS Leopard and the HMS Lion). The ship is made of wood and to say it's incredible is an understatement. Although I love my airplanes, the Eagle is unique.

The Eagle, a paddle wheeler, patrolled rivers and estuaries hunting Confederate blockade runners during the Civil War.

The model of the Eagle came with 14 figures and the dimensions of the boat are 39 inches in length, 6 inches in height and 11 inches in width.

The figure head depicts an Eagle in flight.

Thanks for the comments. The photos don't do it justice.

I actually purchased this about two or three years ago and it was not in great shape as it had been sold and resold a few times. My friend Mike spent about three months working on it and he did a fantastic job.

Zach, Al, Mike, Louis, Wayne and Wayne, Ray, Martyn, Rob, Tom and Chris,

Thanks very much for the comments. Trophy made many incredible pieces but the ships have to be at the top of the list. The ship is incredibly heavy, as Martyn can testify as he has the Lion. The hull must be made of solid wood. I think it's easily 25-30 pounds.

One of my favorite pieces from Trophy. Hats off to you Brad for acquiring one that needed some ''loving care''. Fully refitted you have quite a gem in your collection. - Ken

Thanks Ken, I appreciate it.

I have to thank Louis for being able to buy it. He tipped me off that Jim Hillestadt had received a beat up one and wanted to know if I'd be interested. I called up Jim and took a ride over there (I live about an hour away from Jim) and we quickly concluded the deal.
