The original is by far the best, the remake in 1955, renamed STORM OVER THE NILE includes most of the action sequences from the 1939 film.

Don't even bother viewing the 2002 remake, in this version the Battle of Abu Klea was a defeat for the British {eek3} when in fact it was a victory

Your comment is absolutely correct-the original action scenes were so good from the 1939 version they were not only spliced wholesale into Storm over the Nile but also into East of Sudan (1964)
