The Hateful Eight (stylized as The H8ful Eight or The Hateful 8) is an upcoming American western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern. The film is set some years after the Civil War in Wyoming, and revolves around eight strangers who seek refuge in a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass during a blizzard.

Good cast of some Tarantino regulars :

Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren, a former black Union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, "The Bounty Hunter"
Kurt Russell as John Ruth, a bounty hunter known for hanging fugitives he captures, "The Hangman"
Jennifer Jason Leigh as Daisy Domergue, a fugitive wanted either dead or alive for murder captured by Ruth,"The Prisoner"
Walton Goggins as Chris Mannix, a southern renegade claiming to be Red Rock's new sheriff, "The Sheriff"
Demián Bichir as Bob, the caretaker of Minnie's Haberdashery, "The Mexican"
Tim Roth as Oswaldo Mobray, the hangman of Red Rock, "The Little Man"
Michael Madsen as Joe Gage, a cow-puncher, "The Cow Puncher"
Bruce Dern as General Sanford "Sandy" Smithers, a former general of the Confederacy, "The Confederate"

Quentin Tarantino is in hotwater here in states for anti-police comments at a kill police rally. There is a massive boycott of this film being organized by all the police unions and their families / supporters. Michael

Too bad Tarntino went off the deep end with his political stand against law enforcement. I liked his films, but now he's on my poop list along with Jane Fonda. -- Al

I'm sure the financial backers for the film are thrilled to death that Tarantino made a jack-*** of himself in this way.:rolleyes2: -- Al

I'm going to avoid this movie. Easy to do as I'm not a fan of Samuel L. Jackson either.

I always enjoy Kurt Russel
He is always a little bit alternative in the roles he plays

Needless to say I won't be seeing this film.
I love these Hollywood types they are so for removed from everyday life not a clue in the world.
Hopefully Tarantino will be walking down a NY street, get knocked in the head and robbed. Who is he going to call one of those murdering cops? They are probably all to busy murdering unarmed black men.

I've always liked Tarantino's films. If I start pulling the plug on movies because of every idiotic opinion that a star or director espouses then it would be the end of my viewing days. And if a miscreant like Roman Polanski is free to go about making films as a convicted child rapist on the run under the protection of the French authorities then expressing a controversial opinion is small potatoes by comparison.

Jane Fonda went to an enemy capital and was photographed with the enemy and with captured American service men
Not sure if having an opinion like Tarnatino has expressed can be equated with that.

It is not about an idiotic opinion. It's about supporting those who protect and serve. And Polanski didn't
stand up at a New York gathering spouting hate speech at an already volatile situation. Not small potatoes.

“The police officers that Quentin Tarantino calls ‘murderers’ aren’t living in one of his depraved big-screen fantasies — they’re risking and sometimes sacrificing their lives to protect communities from real crime and mayhem.”

I could care less what Tarantino or any Hollywood type believes. He is a moron out of touch with reality. If folks want to boycott the movie for that reason they are free to do so but that just gives him free publicity. That situation is small potatoes in comparison to raping a child like Polanski. I don't hear any hue and cry when a new Polanski movie comes out. If I were going to boycott anyone it would be a criminal who has managed to evade justice. Unfortunately Polanski never makes a movie most would even consider watching except as a cure for insomnia.

I have not liked any of his movies.
The "cartoon like violence" is usually funny.
Teenaged video game players must be
his main revenue source.

I got in trouble on this board before for using this term but I'll try again. I think one thing we can all agree on Tarantino is one ugly dude!
