The "I got new K&C today" thread. (1 Viewer)

So Fred, how do you like that Jag. That's got to be the heaviest vehicle I've ever seen.

Brad, The Jag weighs a ton, has to be the heaviest piece I have so far, which isn't all that many, but I thought the Wittman Tiger had some good weight to it. Just don't think the detailing on it is as crisp as the tiger, king tiger and other vehicles I've seen so far, but it's growing on me, if I'm being picky, so be it.:p

Fred

The Jagdpanther is actually one of my favourite K&C pieces especially combined with the riders. It certainly seems to be the biggest and heaviest piece I own.
I quiet like the Jagpanther design anyway but K&C's has a beautiful paint scheme on it.
I like the crew figures too. Now if only they were full body (hint hint)

Yeah, that's it, Easy, the Jagdpanther screams out for tank riders, now where'd I put that credit card?:D

Got my British Sherman today. Was not going to because I have the U.S.one ,but I noticed a reasonable price on e-bay and went for it. Very nice piece for holding onto or speculating later, I hope..Michael

Yesterday I got 14 K&C and 2 Frontline Napoleonic figures. I got the Frontline Highlander Regimental Flag Set (the one with the Blue Blackwatch Regimental Flag, Officer Flag Bearer, and NCO). I took the flag out of the box, left the men in it, and put the box in the closet with the other empty boxes. The Frontline figures are like the Britains, just not the same size as the K&C. I might use them later but for now they are put away.

I took one K&C NA55 (Blackwatch Highlander Advancing with Rifle) and removed his rifle. I cut the rifle off his hands with a modelers saw. I then drilled a hole in his hands where he is holding the rifle stock. I inserted the Frontline Blue Highlander Blackwatch Regimental Flag into the holes in his hands. I then touched up the color on his hands with some acrylic flesh tone paint and he is now the center-front figure in a 40-man column of fives. He looks so cool with the flag held high waving in the wind as he and his mates advance on the frogs.

That’s what I got, what did everyone else get:confused: Michael

Welcome to the toy soldiers butchers club michael. Your a brave man messing with K&C metals, i,m sure you,ll get some slack from the K&C crowd for that one. I did a few britains napoleonics some injustice by chopping off some heads and arms and i,m sure some guys had their stomachs turning from that one. I hope you post some pictures soon i,m dieing to see your collection. You should try some plastic conversions there lots of fun and alot easier to cut and work with. Just think of the fun you can have i,ve got an idea to cut some figures at the waist and cut the head off a horse(like the godfather scene:D )and replace it for the man cut at the waist like the greek mythology thing. See, how munch fun is that. Anybody know were to get some plastic farm animals this sounds like it could be alot of fun.:D

I just receive the WS71 set. I agree that the paint scheme looks better than the WS67 (post #40 by BOOT51) but the said WS67 remains a masterpiece. Both are a must to have in a collection.

Pierre.

Okay, I realize this is about King & Country, however today I received the

Conte WW2-071 Devils from Above Paratroopers, and Wow is all I can say!

I have to recommend these to my fellow collectors!, they are really nice

with harnesses that connect to the parashoot lines. They really will enhance your

displays. I also picked up the Church Priority and couryard which are really

wonderful.

John,

Do you think you could post close up pictures. How does it rate with the K & C parachute set?

NJJA, if you are willing to share with us, may I ask what the above was priced at. Michael

Hi yes I obtained the Priority and Courtyard from my friend George at Minuteman Toy Soldiers for $300. He really does terrific work, and is a pleasure to deal with. I also got the Paratroopers from him. George is very knoweldgeable, and great to deal with. Your items are well packed, and shipped promptly, and George will take the time to talk to you and provide you what you are looking for.
As a dealer George is Bulletproof in my opinion!

Brother, you are preachn' to the choir. I think George is great. He is very customer friendly and has the greatest personalized service. :) Michael

Received the British Sherman and the new KT. Very nice. Thanks Andrew.

Received my UK version of the Sherman today. Lucked out in finding a dealer with one left that was one of the 500 Certificate UK versions. Thanks Tim Tyler. I have to agree it is a great piece.

Today, I received the Indians already available in the American Revolution serie (BR42 to BR47). Those figures are simply fantastic. The colours are magnificient. That line (Redmen & Redcoats) is very interesting and what about the upcoming Revolutionary Marines? I have pre-ordered 7 figures of thoses.

That serie wins to be discovered, at least by me and I really enjoy my new additions.

Pierre.

Thanks to Tony Neville at k&C UK I got my British Sherman (#500). What a great version. Since I got #500 I am assuming they are now sold out at dealers. I still have to get the US version of the Sherman, but that's on the list to get soon along with the Jadgpanther and the Churchill, they all look very neat.

I really love it. And thanks to Shannon, I also got a DD59 Bren Gun Carrier and DD60 Staghound Amoured Car. Each is really very special. The man shooting the bren gun out the front of the carrier was supposed to be glued down to the seat. He had come loose, a little super glue and he's on there now. Michael

I got the new Afrika Korps series today. No space for them until I finish my addition to the house.

I just opened a box from George at Minute Man and found a pleasant suprise. The K&C Afrika Corps, minus the Grief that I am still waiting for, are really cool. I had opened the 10.5cm gun the other day and saved the others for this Saturday morning when my grandson and I could spend some time together opening and setting them up. He is really enjoying "Bop Pa's" toys. George also sent me more Old Guard and are they ever a wonder to behold. I wish I had half the talent those who make our toys have, from the designer to the packager, they all do such a good job. I think we definately get our money's worth when we buy such good quality merchandise. Michael
