Re: The "I got new K&C to ay" thread.

This week brought the North Africa theater home. Minus the heat, flies and sand, thank goodness! :) (Big thanks to Maddadicus and Bill Moore!! And of course the great folks at Treefrog!) An 8th Army Matilda, an Afrika Korps MG42 set, the "Ramke Brigade" Standing Patrol, an SDKFZ 222 Armored Car, Rommel's GREIF and 10.5 cm Field Gun. Oh, if only every week were like this! It might be a cliche, but I do indeed feel like a kid at Christmas. :D (Just like with the GI Joe 3 3/4" figures 20 years ago. Fun stuff!)

As someone once said here (I think it was Victory), "oh, the debt!":D

Hi Brad!
It's nice to know that none of us are alone in this. :)

I got the GRIEF today and the DAK howitzer set. Very pleased with both models. They look superb with my other Afrika Korps sets.

Just one small thing I noticed on the figures. The artillery crew have great detailed cuffbands that distictly say AFRIKAKORPS. Whereas on the cuffband of the saluting soldier that comes with the GRIEF you cannot read what the words say. It's just squiggles.

Gentle Friends,

I, too, received my GREIF today. I now have is displayed in its own separate display case which is next to my Winter Tiger, which is also displayed in its own separate case. You might say they are a sight for all seasons (hot vs. cold). I love 'em!

THANK YOU BILL SAGER!

Warm regards,

Pat

Hey Pat, funny you should mention that, today I received both a Winter Tiger and a Grief, the tiger came in from the north and the Greif arrived from the south.:D

Pat,

Glad you liked it. I also have mine displayed next to my winter tiger. I see a trend here.

I received 2 packages over the last week from K&C UK, some Napoleonic KGL Riflemen and a Tangerine Buyer from the Streets of Old Hong Kong range, this last one is actually for my wife. The KGL have to be the best yet from the Napoleonic range, but the Hong Kong figures just have to be the best painted ever! The detail is amazing on these. I really like the new artwork on the boxes, these still have the good old foam inserts, so no problem with paint rub etc.
Anyway, off to watch a 'Sharpe' DVD, the one which introduces 'Sweet William'.
Regards
Jeff
