Having spent some quality time with good friend Andy Neilson in room 4301, I thought I would mention a few of the goodies on display. Dead center of the room was occupied by a Japanese carrier deck and island diorama, on which the new Aichi Val's, deck crew and pilots were on display (they are very nice in person). Along the wall on the right side of the room is a cracking big Battle of the Bulge diorama, on which, among other British forces sits the prototype for a huge Comet tank. On the far side of the Japanese carrier display is a small diorama with 18th Century duelists seeking to skewer each other in the garden adjacent to a nice little two story structure. Along the back wall is an excellent mid-sized diorama of a scene from Victorian London, with Sherlock Holmes, Jack the Ripper, and Dickens related figures. I will take and post photos of the displays later today.
