Does it work on plastic (just to practice and get it down, so I don't get water in the metal ones)??

Yes, chalk works ok on plastic and some water won't worry metal models provided you allow the excess water to drain.

Really nice pics Oz,great camo work with the chalk!:)

Having some fun unpacking supplies early in the Normandy campaign (they didn't have much fun later on).

Closeup shot of the NMA Schimmwagen, the Luftwaffe guy in the passenger seat is from the recently retired K & C halftrack set.

The K & C Machine Gun nest with the Top removed makes an ok gun emplacement.

Here is the Top of the KC MG Nest set being used as a base for the Patriot Nebelwerfer. I placed the Nebelwerfer over the shell hole to make it look like the rocket's exhaust had carved out a hole in the ground.

Love your AK gun emplacement Oz,very nice indeed.I think you said earlier about putting a white base under your winter stuff, this AK gun is crying out for a sand base. Thanks for posting, good to see your collection.

Thanks Rob, I do intend to make up bases for the different shelves at some stage.

Very nice photos of a very nice collection. I like the clever mix of the different manufacturers figures. -- lancer

Oz, I've been a bit busy and had not been paying much attention, just catching up and admiring your setups, thanks for sharing.

I was just wondering about your comment on the collectors showcase stuff, some of their stuff looks really good but do they go OK with 1/30?

Their earlier models were about 1/24 scale and most look way to big to display with K & C imo. The only early models I have retained are the small Panzer and the 88 mm, the Panzer blends in better than the 88 but decent metal 88s are hard to come by. The models may be large but the figures that came with the 1/24 scale stuff were about 1/30 but they do have that zombie look. The more recent models are apparently in 1/30 scale and the figures are much better but I haven't got any yet.

Hello OZ - Just wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed your pics, especially those of the AK set-up. I like your use of Dept 56 trees - they really work well with any desert scene. Thanks for sharing.
