It's no secret that Andy, Not Joe Exotic, is the real Tiger King. However Andy is also the Sherman King. It could be said that Infact, Andy is the heavy ww2 armour king!

We have had Summer Tigers, Autumn Tigers, Winter Tigers, Desert Tigers, Fieldgrau Tigers, Eastern front Tigers and even King Tigers and let's not forget the Tiger crews...

We have had Summer Shermans, Winter Shermans, Damaged Shermans, British Shermans, Firefly Shermans, Pacific Shermans and even Swimming Shermans😲

They have all been awesome, but maybe its time for a different kind of awesome: Blown Up Awesome!

We've had all sorts of models of Tiger and Shermans but how about some blown up versions. Maybe a Tiger Tank which has just been hit in the back by a US or Russian Anti-Tank gun and has begun smoking. The crew are bailing out and they are burnt and black with smoke.

Or even a Sherman in a similar scene? It has taken a direct hit from a Tiger's 88mm gun and is starting to smoke with some fire coming from it's hatches and crew (American or British) climbing out as fast as they can and pulling each other to safety.

I wouldnt pay 200 plus USD for a damaged Tank.

Wayne,

a well thought out and designed damaged tank would definitely cost more to make than an intact one. The more detail, the more cost. Understanding you would not pay is one thing, but in all reality a damaged model in theory with design, sculpt and detail should cost more. Think of a modeler making a tank - much easier to put together a stock tank and paint it then to have to kit bash it for a damaged model. That is basically what a sculptor would have to do in this case. They would start with an intact model and then move from there. More time, More cost.

Exactly mate and I'm sure Andy would make a great one!

A hit tiger is a great idea in my opinion! Personally, I have never seen that..Only TCS made a changeable blown tracks on its Panther some years ago, but a blown out panzer is another stuff! KC made a destroyed messerschmitt( very beautiful and effective), so why not a destroyed panzer?:p

As outlined before I think the destroyed version of either tank will b a lot more time in painting, that would add to the cost as the painting I think is the time consuming and people intensive element. Plus it would be a new mould altogether and that would also be expensive for a new vehicle that has potential limited interest...……

I can think of other vehicles/tanks I would like to see, such as
US -M8, M16, Sherman tank platoon -
German, Bison, new Hetzer, AA Gun on Panzer IV, Sd.Kfz. 251/22, 7.5 cm PaK40 L/46, 15 cm Panzerwerfer 42, Stuka Zu Fuss Wurfrahmen 40 SdKfz 251.
British - Archer, Sexton, Centaur 95mm.

K & C have made several damaged vehicles in the past including a recent damaged Sherman. I doubt they sell as well as undamaged versions, and with the increasing cost of sets their popularity would now be less IMO. You can always do your own damage to a tank for display purposes, but it's not something I'd do.

It’s been a while since a King Tiger was released. Love to see a new release for the Battle of Arnhem. Taking it a step further would be a damaged King Tiger from the Battle of Arnhem. Some great Para figures could be used on the attack of that Tiger. A heavily damaged but functional Tiger would be nice.

Maybe some dead crew hanging out the hatches? Or crew with bandages on heads/arms?😉

But do think it’s time for a new King Tiger and Arnhem would be fantastic.

The only K&C modern series I collect is the the Israeli stuff, but I would definitely buy a damaged Israeli or Jordanian/Syrian/Egyptian piece of armor.
