Lovely sets Gary. The one I always liked was Finishing Touch.

Dear Gary,

Many thanks for posting the nice pictures of your Trophy Christmas sets.

I hope you still have your charming Christmas display in the living room.

My best wishes to Karen.

All the Best, Raymond.:)

Hello Len & all the other members of the Forum who have posted comments to Len Taylor's "Thread" that he started in early January 2011. I now see that I erroneously noted that Len Taylor's Sculptor, partner & friend's name was "Mike Nichols". After just reviewing the the special letter from Trophy Miniatures Wales, Ltd that came with the Christmas Special Edition 1995 set of XM20 of "Going Over The Top" I see that the correct name of Trophy's splendid in house sculptor was "Michael R. John". Sorry for the error!

Also, the above noted letter from Trophy also noted that Trophy's first special Christmas set started in the year 1983. However, if Trophy only made just ONE set per each year the start date of the Christmas sets would go back to the year 1976 based on XM20 set coming out for 1995 & then going back 20 years to 1976. Was the Trophy letter that came with the Trophy set# XM20 incorrect with regard to the start date OR where there some years that had more that just one XM Christmas set issued??

Hi Gary

I found this page in one of my old Trophy catalogues detailing Xmas Specials from 1985 thru 1989. Looks like some years had more than one special issued

I’ll keep digging and see what I come up with

Thanks for posting the page from the MKL catalogue.

Dear Martyn / "GICOP":

Thank you very much for your last several postings. Apparently there were indeed multiple "XM" or Christmas time sets in certain years. So that the the starting year for Trophy Christmas sets in 1983 noted by Len Taylor's letter enclosed with set XM20 in 1995 would be very likely be correct. It was very nice of you come up with the additional Trophy data on "XM" sets and post it at the Forum.

Hi Martyn,

XM2A is my favourite of the single figure Trophy Christmas sets.

Happy to say I managed to get one finally.:wink2:

The little red Trophy boxes are cute compared to the large BB ones.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Hello Raymond:

Per documentation kindly provided by Martyn ("GICOP") on recent prior postings your "Santa w/Bag" of toys is Trophy set# XM3; your "Snowman" is Trophy set# XM4; The "Gentleman w/ Gift Boxes & Wreath" is Trophy set# XM5 and your "Christmas Tree" is Trophy set# XM9. So you indeed have some of the early Trophy Miniatures XM sets. Enjoy them!
