The Walking Dead (1 Viewer)

Very enjoyable except the latest,,too much talk and not enough zombies,,I usually avoid AMC due to censored butchering of films,,excessive commercials etc ,Seen their version of blazing saddles,,midnight cowboy,,etc?viva tivo

I hate AMC like poison due to all their commercials. I can remember when they started out they had no commercials. Then made a big deal out of one commercial break. Now it is unwatchable. Thank god for TCM! I watch Walking Dead on ON Demand and FF through the commercial breaks. They have already announced a second season.

Agreed,,Casablanca with unlimited interruptions,,the person responsible for the changes should be tied to a sherman and used as a hedgerow cutter

Agreed; the ending was weird too as if the door was locked, where did he go after he performed the surgery on himself, or was it in fact him that did the surgery? Three more episodes for season #1................

They could have at least shown him sawing away as zombie heads poked thru the door,,Maybe thrown them a bone-hand while he went over the side,,lets hope next week shows more half Zoms crawling around,,I prefer them to the walkers.
Perhaps KC will issue a set.

Have just seen the second episode in which survivors flee the city after leaving one of their number handcuffed to a pipe on the roof. Enjoying this series quite a bit now:)

Yes, it was a bit harsh wasn't it?!. He's not dead just yet, but his chances don't look good!

Cheers

just downloading episode3 now, i had to downgrade my virgin package and lost fx channel :)

It seems our British cousins have been holding out on us Colonials..If you think the Walking Dead is a big deal, I have just finished watching the British series "Dead Set"..a 5 episode mini-serial. I got a copy from Ebay and it is excellent bloodsport for just about any Zombie fan...Very well done. Michael

Yes I saw this Michael, very good indeed and pretty bleak.Features a great Zombie cameo by Big Brother host Davina Mcall.

Just seen ep 3 of Walking dead and still enjoying it although a little less action this time. Looks like the bad guy cut his own hand off to escape Zombies on the roof.

The characters just letting the 'weak links" live i.e. the 3 brutal or useless men reminds me too much of how in Lord of the Rings they let Saruman, Golem, and Grima live to come back for the plot. I can imagine that these characters would have been killed right away in a "real" situation when a good guy got the drop on them with a gun. (or sword)

The triangle story is getting better with the wife blaming the deputy for telling her that her husband (the lead) was dead.

Yep! it's close to the city.

Any fan of the books know that the real walking dead are the human beings, not the Zombies, and the way folks interact or not ,drives the storyline..:eek:Michael

Thanks! I'm actually new to the genre, although I have seen the original Night of the Living Dead.

Im already tired of the personal stories and seeing some of the background walkers hurrying and looking like they are smiling,,verified by multiple tivo,,from now on i only want half zom,,chicken leg bone squaking crawlers,,and THREE more shows?? wats up wit dat

I keep telling you that the original book is more about the humans than the zombies. I believe only 6 or 7 episodes were ordered by the network, but has now been renewed for another season..Michael

"Dawn of the Dead" is my favorite zombie movie. Both the original which still holds up well and even the remake. "Return of the Living Dead" is also a hoot if you like a bit of comedy mixed in.
