Thanks to the efforts of Matt Murphy of Hobby Bunker, there will be a West Coaster Show next year. This is great news. As you probably know, there was no West Coaster this year after a run of 28 years from 1991 through 2018. Here are some of the details.

Date: Sunday, March 1, 2020

Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Admission: $7.00

Location: Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim Garden Grove

Address: 12021 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92840

Telephone: 714-867-5555

Show Room Rate: $129 per night with free parking

Room Trading: Yes

Anaheim Average Temperatures for March 1st: High 69 degrees F, Low 50 degrees F

Chance of Precipitation: 18 per cent

Dealer tables are available. Details to follow.

Thank you for the wonderful news Mike!! Thank you Matt for making this happen! I'm so excited especially about the room trading aspect! Now if we could just get Thor and Andy to come back- that would be the icing on the cake.

As of last Wednesday, some of the dealers who said that they will participate in room trading include Matt Murphy of Hobby Bunker, Ray Haradin of Toys of Yesteryear, Thor Johnson of the Saint Petersburg Collection, Mike Hall of Sierra Toy Soldiers, Woody Lambirth formerly of the West Coaster, and Mike O'Donnell of Nostalgia Toys.

Fantastic! Thanks Mike!
See you there-

The main thread for the West Coaster under Shows and Show Reports indicates that it is in Irvine. This has not been the case since 2015. Would it be possible for one of the moderators to correct this to show it as the "West Coaster (Orange County)"? Thanks.

Mike

Being from New Jersey I will not be able to attend. However, this news is a huge plus for the hobby and I am happy to hear of it and even happier for all our fellow collectors in that part of the country.

I hope the show is a big success and that it lives on for many years to come.

Myself and a few others have committed to room trading. I am asking for a block of rooms on the same floor and we will have an easel in the lobby. I have had 4 others commit to tables.

I will formerly get the info out in November. Waiting on the hotel for a few requests.

I have a rate of $129.00. Free parking was big so It is in the same place. It was a Wyndham. The old venue, Irvine Marriott, was $30 a day and $15 for the show so that was a deal breaker. It was a Wyndham.

I am sorting out stuff and hoping to get info/permissions to access websites, Facebook pages, etc.

I will use the West Coaster, my own and one other mail list.

______

Oh and if I get this wrapped up soon I will get some calls going for Texas.

I will arrive Friday for the Room Trading etc.
Two room nights.
One Table for the Sunday show, please.

I hope the show is well supported so it can continue. I'll be there with a bunch of Russian figures and dioramas as well other misc bits for sale. I haven't been to a show in so long, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Matt told me several West Coast dealers have stepped up and committed to tables, he said he's very confident there will be a strong dealer showing, it's up to the collectors to show up and support the show.

Hi Joe,

In regards to the Russian figures, are they First Legion Napoleonic figures? Thanks

FYI: I received a Exhibitor's Contract & Registration form in the mail from Hobby Bunker this week. The 6-foot table rate is $75 and increases to $85 after February 1, 2020. I am reserving three tables. Matt mentioned in an enclosed letter that he was currently in the process of getting flyers and postcards printed. He also mentioned that he placed ads in Toy Soldier & Model Figure and Playset magazines and has listed it in others.

Hi tsukaiban,
Sorry for the late reply. The Russian figures I'm bringing are by Russian Vityaz, Nevskaya Miniatura, Aeroart, Sineus, and a few other manufacturers.
The only First Legion figures I plan to bring are the ones planted in my "Battle of Berezina River Nov 1812" diorama.
Joe

Happy new year to everyone. Here are most of the Russian figures I plan on bringing to the Westcoaster.

Joe
