The Zulu War (1 Viewer)

Joachim.

I don't think there was time for that with most of the poor fellows that stayed an fought. I'll bet there was plenty o' soiled britches on the Fugitive's Trail and also Lt. Younghusbands last stand on the rise. And don't forget that one lone guy (name eludes me now) who shacked up in the cave until he too was overrun. The event was not a confidence booster for those men far from home. Mike

Not to mention dysentery:D

The only thing that the Brits are worried about is staying alive....The Lt.

None of the Zulu Warriors who've appeared from the Lt. Land of The Zulus are safe from the Trophy 17th Lancers they're every where as a Frontline Zulu Warrior fall prey to a Lancer:D:D:D:D

I bet that brought tears to his eyes!

The Lancer does not seem to be having a problem driving his point home! Is that from LL or an older glossy FL ?

My Lord General the Zulu is a matte finish figure from Frontline set ZWH2...Your Aide De Camp.........The Lt.

Lt.,
Love those Lancers! Glad they showed up to take part in the Campaign! One question on the uniform... I have not seen before, the white striping running up the backside of the tunic then under the arms to the cuff on both sides ... Is this correct for the uniform or did Trophy just add it? Awaiting word from Your Excellency... Mike

The striping on the tunic is correct according to the Colour Plates and comments provided in the Osprey Elite Series Brithish Forces in Zululand 1879 by Ian Knight and Colour Plates by Richard Scollins.........The Lt.

Thanks, Joe
I'll have to check my LL Alymer guys to make sure they do too. Mike

That's the British army for you. You have to look smart in front of the natives you know. Just a pity the old Boers and Zulus didn't always see it that way.

Damian
