Took my cat to the vets the other day, he is OK, just check-up.

While at the vets I noticed a jar of chocolates, on the jar it said end of life chocolates, I asked what were they are? He replied those are for dog that are being bought in who need to be put to sleep, because of age, illness, pain etc. He told me that no one in life should go thought it without tasting chocolate, so the dogs are given 1 to 3 chocolates, first one as a test, second and third ones as they then know how good chocolates are so know they are getting something really good.

Now that is a great thing to do.

Last night's NBA finals game is reason number 1,237,936 as to why I don't gamble on sports; Indy was a 6 point underdog last night, thought for a second about laying money on that.

At one point, Indy was up 96-87, OKC then went on a 24 to 8 run to close the game out and win 111-104, had I bet on the game/taken Indy, I would have lost 111-110.

Vegas knows what they are doing, not to mention Scott "the series extended" Foster reffed the game.

Celebration of our Army. Nice to see that. Good historical lesson also and well done. And to make sure the facts are right, the birthday of our Army was planned regardless of the current sitting President. I love how the media tries to tie his birthday to a celebration of our Army, ie the reason we are all free today.

My late Grandfather and WW2 veteran I am sure was smiling from above.

The parade was great and made me feel proud to be an American.

That pride has nothing to do with Trump who just happens to be president on that anniversary.

Huge tip of the cap to everyone who has served in the army over the past 250 years.

I think the parade played into a narrative on the left that Trump is a dictator. It did not seem necessary. And even as someone who voted for Trump three times, it makes me a bit uncomfortable to see a Soviet-style military parade in DC. The politicization of the military is the last thing we need. I do understand that it was supposed to be a celebration of the 250th anniversary but I don't think anyone believes that is the only reason it happened. Trump wanted such a parade during his first term. If they were going to do this, then do it on some military base.

I think you have to view these events through the eyes of others and not just ourselves. There are people who rightly or wrongly have a certain view about Trump. Primarily that he wants to be a dictator. The country is polarized over him. An event like a military parade plays directly into that narrative. It might very well have been harmless in other times but not now. This happened on Trump's birthday adding fuel to that fire. It was unnecessary and counterproductive in my opinion even if well intended. It provokes half the country. It will be used and debated for weeks or months distracting from very real problems like the national debt which is growing even under the Republicans who ran on a platform of reducing spending.

There may be nothing better than watching the fanatic Edmonton Oiler fans endure a soul crushing defeat at home. Hopefully Florida takes care of business at home and keeps the Stanley Cup in the U-S-A once again. Something like 30 years and counting since a Canadian team won it.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I only have to look through my own eyes, that is the beauty of being an American. I choose to be pround of our Army, my ancestors who were part of that Army and I choose to ignore people who want to make a mockery of it. Sorry but not sorry. There is nothing wrong with honoring the Army, I find it disrespectful that the press and others question or minimize the parade in any way. Next, just because Trump is President, the same people will blame him for Iran. The storyline is getting old.

We have elections every four years for a reason and the next one will be here before you know it.

I was disappointed with the parade coverage. I thought it would be covered like the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. What units are coming up, describing the armor etc. All I saw were snippets of coverage. Congrats to the army for defending the constitution and our country.
