Things that I really like (6 Viewers)

I have been really enjoying The Rainmaker series on USA...I'm a courtroom drama junkie...a spin off of John Grisham's book...originally done in a movie format by Coppola in 1997...with an all star cast of Matt Damon...Danny DeVito...Jon Voight...Mickey Rourke...Roy Scheider...and Danny Glover...hard to beat that version...but the TV series is a winner with a lot of new twists...I think it concludes next week in a 2 hour episode...
 
"Deadstream" on Netflix. This is like "Evil Dead" meets "The Blair Witch" with a Gen Z spin. Most of these newer horror flicks are God awful but I enjoyed this one.
 
"The Chair Company" on HBO. Tim Robinson cracks me up. He is hilarious.
 
Traveled to CT on Saturday to pick up a toy soldier collection and on the way down, drove past a "No kings" protest of about 30 people by the side of the road.

The SUV two vehicles up from me flipped them off, so some wrecking ball whips her latte grande el ripoff Starbucks coffee at the SUV.................and missed and rifled off the car behind the SUV....................the guy hit the brakes, got out..........and blocked out the sun, he had to be 6'6" or bigger.

What a waste of 40.00; you never saw 30 planets run so fast in your life.

I came across one of the protests while walking with my wife and son. People in inflatable animal and dinosaur costumes and honking horns. Here is a real conversation:

Son: What is going on?
Wife: The No Kings protest.
Son: What is that?
Wife: It's a made-up thing.
 
After watching countless hours of baseball in the last few weeks, finally having a day in which I did not watch one second of sports. I reached my sports saturation point last night with the World Series and college football.
 
The taglines of an ultra-low budget horror flick called Pyromaniac which include such gems as: "We didn't start the fire, he did" and "Where there's smoke, there's Pyromaniac."

I give them an A for effort even if the trailer looks like it was filmed by a high school A/V club.
 
Some left wing loon won as Governor of VA, first woman ever to win that election............and the far, far, far left wing loon won as Mayor of New York.

People slay me; this is what they voted for, so this is what they're going to get, best of luck VA and NYC.
 
Been thinking a lot about my Mom and her two sisters/my Aunts Betty and Evy lately; the Amazon Christmas commercial of the three ladies sledding down the hill did it.

My Mom and Aunts as kids lived in West Roxbury on Spring Street next to the VA Hospital, my Mom told me they used to go under the fence and sled down the hills next to the hospital, that commercial brings it all back, it used to get me in the feels before my Mom passed away, more so now.

My Aunt Betty has been gone for 10 years, my Mom and Aunt Evy about a year and a half (they died in the same week in March of last year).

Whoever said grieving is a process wasn't kidding, the pain lessens, but the hole in your heart never heals, it's a good days/bad days scenario.

I know a lot of people dislike that commercial; to me, it gets me every time.

Yeah we got a winner in NJ too. All you hear is people hollering about high property taxes, high school taxes, high energy costs and on and on but they vote the same type of people in. Our new governor was involved in a Naval academy scandal and was actually fined by Congress for using her position for insider trading and people still voted for her. She came out 7 million ahead but can't explain where she got it.:mad:

Oh yeah and the new AG of Virginia dreamed of murdering someone and their children and he won. You can't make this stuff up.

"Predators: Badlands." A rare example of a movie delivering what the audience wants. In this case lots of action. The 3d is fantastic as well.
