George...
I did not know that Jayson Tatum was a scratch for Game 7...2 hours before tip off...hard to replace his scoring and leadership...
I apologize for talking all that trash about how it was gonna be a blowout for your Celts...I truly believe Boston would of won if he were in the game...
injuries in the playoffs...the great equalizer...
can make a fantastic team not so good...
I didn't know either, the final nail in the coffin.
No worries on you being confident they'd win, I wasn't feeling it and that's a wrap.
Mazzulla put out a G league line up to start the game, what on earth was he doing, they were down 17-6 and that was the game, they had the lead ONCE in the entire game, by one point, down 5 at the half, got their doors blown off in the 3rd quarter (like they have over and over and over), stormed back to get within one, had THREE wide open looks in a row and couldn't make a shot.
Maxey and Embid went off, scored more than half of their teams total points between the two of them, no answer on defense for either one of them. If there is a bigger flopper in the league than Embid, show me who it is, I'd like to meet him, he had about 9,000 trips to the free throw line last night, I thought in a game 7, the home team gets most of the calls; Embid at one point HACKED Brown's arm off on a dunk, no call, he had two fouls, that's nuts.
How the Hell where the 76er's a 7 seed BTW/had to do the play in nonsense; in games 1, 3 and 4 they looked like a play in 7th seed, not so much in the other games.
I hate, hate, HATE the Celtics offensive approach; zero ball movement, they constantly hunt 3 point shots, that's not basketball to me.
If I'm the GM, I find a big man who can play defense and rebound, could care less about him scoring, I trade Brown for a haul and I fire Mazzulla, one championship/trip to the finals with this group is totally unacceptable, he'd be gone if I was the GM.
Considering they gutted the team in the off season/traded Holiday/Porzingus, let Kornet and Horford walk due to this BS getting under the luxury tax apron, considering Tatum only played 16 games, finishing second was quite an achievement, but this is Boston, anything less than a trip to the finals is not ideal.
Plus who's sh%tting who here; no shot they would have beaten the Knicks and if by some miracle they did, they would have gotten rolled in the finals by OKC/San Antonio.
What an embarrassment; the announcers should have mentioned a few hundred more times about how the Celtics have never lost a series up 3-1/32-0 and the 76ers haven't beaten the Celtics in a series since 1982/0-6, imagine going 1-3 at home, it is what it is, a complete choke job.
The 76ers did not win this series, the Celtics lost it, up 13 points in the close out game/game 5 and they couldn't finish them off.
I'm totally and utterly disgusted.
Bruins season over Friday at home; check.
Celtics season over Saturday at home; check.
I'm done with both sports until next fall, could give two sh$ts who wins either championship.
