This forum is crazy (2 Viewers)

I have been watching events here on the forum over the last few days.
We have a record number of posts and deleted posts in a thread ever.
We have several members calling each other out for personal duels at toy soldier shows.
We argue over whether the Eastern Front will sell.
We have fights over whether the AZW is more fun than WWII.
This is all very interesting and makes for lively reading.
I am not so sure what the reason for all this pent up aggression is?
Perhaps it is some sort of fight club type psychology.
Anyway guys I would suggest everyone takes a deep breath.
There is genocide in Darfur.
The economy is in the tank.
The war in Afghanistan is not going so well.
Swine flu is going to wipe us all out.
Chrysler is going bung
There we have it the Four Riders of the Apocalyse are about to appear on the horizon
That should put things in perspective

The first rule about fight club is that there is no talking about fight club

Wow - I just got caught up on this thread

I leave for Jazz Fest for a few days and missed the action.

Finally - a War of Words without me :p - Did anyone mention the fact the entire K&C Range of Market Garden is being retired ?

LOL - Sorry had to do it one more time ;)

oh Ron, you missed two or three humdingers of some threads...threatening fights, arguments, lies, backstabbing, man, anarchy ruled for a couple days, but cooler heads preveiled, it's good to be back in our "normal" soldier world, I guess this justs means no more road trips for you, ha!!!...Sammy

Oh no! Not the entire Arnhem line! Retired and recalled.........it can't be!

But if Ronnnnn says so:eek::D:)

"Endeavor to persevere...We thought about that. And when we had thought long enough, we made war on the Union." Chief Dan George delivered that line so matter-of-factly. He was great in that movie.

"I used to know these things, before I became so civilized".
He was great wasn't he.;):D

All forums are the same.

I am on a greyhound dog owners forum.

It's a lot of women with men in the distinct majority.

There's a lot of infighting, name calling, posts and threads deleted, users getting suspended, petty and trivial personal attacks when a person is looking for behavior advice and there is a nasty streak in any post about the differences between retired racers and AKC bred greys.

If super impose the threads and replace greyhound with "eastern front", king & country", etc it would be very much the same.

Just sayin'.

My daughter is probably on that forum as she adopted a greyhound, I think they administered shock treatment to that dog as it is severly sedate.

Gosh, I wonder how I missed the whole thread, must have been having my lobotomy.

If you had a lobotomy, you experienced the same sensations people did reading these threads.

Sedate? My two are not sedate at all. They are a little different behavior wise but the right triggers set off speed filled insanity.

This is Duke at a track adoption event:

Duke at the track

Not sedate

He's also a great hiking buddy and he's 11.

Great dog Gideon..............I had contemplated rescueing a greyhound but I ended up rescueing a Basset hound instead.

The old man and his wife rescued a greyhound. Cider is really happy to see you(nose in crotch) Then goes on to the next one then goes back to her default position lying down. Squirrels and cats are chased from the yard when seen from the default position. then returns to default. Most of the time Cider practises the "Dead Dog" look. Something she does extremely well.

Yeah me too, but I ended up rescuing an 18 year old nymphomanic instead.

Has the discussion moved on from dogs ?
Apparently not, seems I found one near my computer as well.:D
