This forum is crazy (3 Viewers)

I agree with Jeff; that would be a shame. Let us deal with whatever happens. Please do not stop.

Hi Brad,

Thank you for sharing your frustration with us and thank you for expressing your feelings concerning the conduct we should exhibit on this forum. I fully agree with you and I support your efforts to encourage appropriate behavior in our communications with one another. Your job as a moderator is a thankless one, but a critical one. Too often, we do not recognize the deep commitment to forum peace and appropriateness you and the other moderators demonstrate. I am glad you are here and I am glad you donate your time to a very worthy cause. I think we all profit from your presence.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Perfectly put Pat, as usual.
Brad, I echo Pat's thoughts and thanks, as he can always put this kind of message across, far better than I ever could.

Simon

Bob, don't even think about it! It is only a very small number of members that try and corrupt others threads, the vast majority of us very much appreciate your posts especially the dioramas! So stop fretting and get on with the next episode of the Alamo will you! ;):D

Jeff
Absolutely Jeff. There is nothing new in this behavior and while unfortunate, we should not permit it to deter us from the more prevalent camaraderie and civil and playful exchanges that constitute the vast majority of the posts here. We all have to decide how to respond to those challenges since they do seem all too frequent. Whatever the subject matter of the forum, intractable and unremitting pontification and a lack of respect for the opinions of others is not likely to promote peace and harmony. Passion is fine, as are firmly held beliefs, so long as one can avoid confusing fact for opinion and can appreciate that the opposite belief may be just as firmly held by another. Walk a mile, as they say.....

Any way please post whatever you like Bob. Bullies should never be appeased, cyber or otherwise. Shalom.

The African Zebra War has obviously sparked a chord here on the forum.
It's good that the more obscure conflicts are still remembered.
It was a hard time for African wildlife that year.

One of the manufacturers is bound to pick this up and run a new series of it. It's got everything most collectors want: - Tigers, Panthers, Elephants, etc. Too good an oportunity to miss. :)

Panthers would be great, especially a Panthera Pardus.;):D

When one continues to abuse the feedom of speech, they do not have the right to be heard ,even if this forum must purge the ranks of the few..so that this society of collectors can post in peace..There is no doubt that for whatever reason, some do not play well with other adults in their real life. This gives them no cause to behave in their cyber life and so, I am sure that if a careful search was done of the problems threads, one could find the same offending few. Why we continue to put up with them is an example of the extraordinary patience shown by the moderators. But I say enough is enough..OUT THEM AND THEN OUST THEM..Michael:mad::mad:

I feel that the vast majority of posts on this wonderful forum is good natured, informative and outright fun (I have laughed a lot reading posts in the last couple of days). Yes there have been some heated exchanges about, passion is not always easy to deal with:D... And I see nothing wrong with a good natured argument, some of the best threads I can remember come from debate and opposing opinions. Yes people probably won't change their minds, especially in the heat of the moment, but I love to see arguments and knowledge coming up from members of the forum when a good debate brings them out. I guess we all know when the line is crossed, it's just about common sense. The Forum is certainly well above these «line crossings» though, as the growing membership shows.
Gentlemen, IMHO the glass is more than half full (not less than half empty...). Let's proceed...

Cheers,
Paulo

I have stayed out of this debate but would caution you about eliminating the outspoken. I believe if you look at history you will see lots of examples of eliminating those whose opinions you disagree with;, followed by eliminating those who irritate you;followed by those who you might have a problem with; followed by kiss your a__ goodbye , we don't like your looks...............

My opinion only
