Anglo Zulu War?

All Zebras Welcome.

I think you're probably right James, Anglo Zulu Wars sounds about right.
It'll never catch on in toy soldiers though.

Now, the infamous Zebra Conflict of the late 1800's, well that's a different story. That particular conflict is not quite as black and white as many historians would have you believe.

Raymond,

I was fed up yesterday with all the back and forth yesterday and was disgusted with the situation in general. I have calmed down a bit some and would never abandon Shannon and Pete.

However, I do feel that sometimes we (and I include myself in this) do not act in a rational manner as adults should and that maturity is wanting amongst us. This is a place that is supposed to be enjoyable -- after all this is only toy soldiers, a hobby that we all voluntarily chose to be associated with (it wasn't forced upon us) -- and in the last week has become less so. I expect conflict and friction to be associated with political discussions but not military miniatures.

I would hope that we could all conduct ourselves in the future in a civilized and rational manner and in a way that is adult and civil and not in a way that I would associate with children.

These are, of course, only my personal views and I am not speaking on behalf of the Forum.

But i think you do speak for many on the forum Brad. The arguments over the last couple of days have been unusual in both number and intensity, hopefully it was a bad patch that is now over.

The continuing efforts of yourself,Shannon,Pete and the new guys is much appreciated.Passions do run high in this hobby and now and again get out of hand,we would be in a sorry state without the moderating of you guys.

Thanks

Rob

Dear Rob - I believe that the rules of this forum expressly forbid spam...and, by inference, spam, spam, eggs, and spam as well.

To funny Pete Green eggs and spam!

I would suggest the use of emoticons so people know where one is coming from.

I would also add that the only reason that parrot stayed on that perch was because he was nailed there:eek:(notice clever use of emoticon)

Hi Brad,

Thank you for sharing your frustration with us and thank you for expressing your feelings concerning the conduct we should exhibit on this forum. I fully agree with you and I support your efforts to encourage appropriate behavior in our communications with one another. Your job as a moderator is a thankless one, but a critical one. Too often, we do not recognize the deep commitment to forum peace and appropriateness you and the other moderators demonstrate. I am glad you are here and I am glad you donate your time to a very worthy cause. I think we all profit from your presence.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Excellent post and full concurrence with it-having had a couple of what I thought to be innocent posts completely hi-jacked that then evolved into a pretty vitriolic spat between members has stopped me recently from even thinking of posting any new threads on here. I swore I would not be baited when I've seen this happen to other members equally and perfectly legitimate topics-but hell it's darn difficult not to get drawn in. Consequently, I have just stuck to posting pictures of my collection hoping it doesn't upset somebody.

Brad I also am extremely pleased you are staying the course and thank you for the difficult task you undertake for our benefit.

It was the Zebras Vs The Giraffes. The Zebras only won by a short neck though. :)

Bob, don't even think about it! It is only a very small number of members that try and corrupt others threads, the vast majority of us very much appreciate your posts especially the dioramas! So stop fretting and get on with the next episode of the Alamo will you! ;):D
