I see a K&C item that I like the look of, but I have other K&C ranges that have priority, so month by month it slips by. Before I know it a couple of years or more have passed and suddenly the item is on the retired list, I rush out and get it and I think ' Why on earth didn't I get this before' ??!!.

This happened in London on Saturday when I got my Crusader Tank, such a nice AFV, iconic of British armour in North Africa with a cool camo pattern and a good tank rider figure to boot. I would have been gutted if I'd missed it and so am very pleased with my purchase.

As well as the Crusader and Jagdtiger (which I've described on the Jagdtiger pictures thread)I also got the RAF staff car. In fact I was very lucky as I got the last one in stock, its a great release and very cool looking in British racing Green,I've a feeling this will be one of those ' much wanted' items in the future.

Would have liked to have posted pics of my purchases but my photobucket bandwidth has been exceeded and I should be able to post pics again on Friday when I hope my London show pics will also return.

I've had a similar policy regarding anything Medieval Knights.

However on Saturday when I saw the new Saracen figures that policy went out the door. I simply had to get the mounted camel drummer (MK082). It's simply stunning. I'll get the other mounted camel figures over the coming weeks rather than wait for their retirement.

Its the luxury of choice isn't it!. For me, its so much to choose from but with a limited War Budget, but its all part of the fun of collecting:salute::

The Crusader is a nice piece and I have to grab one before they are retired and gone.

Yes, Picking and choosing can sometimes be tough. The same rule applies to all of the good releases...... Once they're gone they're gone ! ^&cool

Rob mate,
Nice pick up cobber. I too, had to just get another before they were all gone. Don't you just love the weathering on the road wheels.^&grin^&grin^&grin.
Enjoy mate. Looking forward to seeing your dio of the fuel truck and the Typhoon.
Maybe someone could produce a RAF Control Tower.:wink2::wink2:
Cheers Howard

The crusader is a nice pick up .

I hear ya Rob....sometimes a good piece slips by, but I'm happy to hear you got the Crusader! I got one this weekend too! It's definitely one of my favorite tanks; it's that good, IMO. I don't know what I was waiting for! And the rider is one of the best figures K & C has included w/ a tank set as well. I have the Crsader proudly displayed....I will post some pics soon.
If there's anyone considering picking up the Crusader tank set, do yourself a favor a grab it now while you still can. Don't wanna drag your feet on this one. And the price is right to boot!
Thankfully Rob, it wasn't one of those ones that slipped past us!

Nice one Joe, glad you got it too mate. I do agree about the figure that comes with it,it's one of the best Tank riders I've seen. Some retired items seem to be available for a long time after they are retired, but the Crusader is such a good model I don't think it will be one of those.

Hey Howard! I thought you like your tank road wheels factory new-looking, all shiny and bright:tongue: LOL!

Joe mate,
You're getting very cheeky my young rascal friend.^&grin
If you are going to weather a tank with scratches, dints, shell marks, etc. then you have to weather those bright shine factory released road wheels. If you get my drift without starting a war with another manufacturer.^&grin^&grin
Having change many road wheels in my time in the Armoured Corp. I can assure you cobber that after five miles of desert driving, those road wheels are dust covered and stone chipped marked something aweful. But that another story.
Cheers Howard

Hi Howard,

I'm inclined to agree with you and on all fronts!
Now I know why you like snowy road wheels:p...to cover up all the chips and scratches!! LOL!
Just having a little fun. I know you don't like the snowy vehicles and scenic pieces, but I love to tease you about it! Good to hear from you. Are you ready for the Westcoaster 2012? I know I am. I should have financially recovered by then!
All the best,
Joe
