I've smudged my copy. To show that I'm being genuine, I can start it off with the first part (unsmudged) which says 'TGM003 -', it's the bit after that I can't make out, if anyone could fill it in....;)

Best wishes for both, now get me my med set!:D

Amen, to that!
This brand-spanking new company has done everything right, from product to marketing to especially communicating with customers.
I , of course am not usually enamored by either matte,or WWII figures. Something just clicked when I saw the first set...and second! I'll just have to fit them in with the LL and Trophy glossies until I can display them more suitably.

Just wondering...is the helmet of the ammo carrier in the Normandy version correct? It is painted desert yellow, shouldn't it be grey or dark green?

If you look at this website and others it wll show several excellent photographs of original FJ helmets in the Normandy pattern colour scheme, one of which was used by TGM for our first release and was in fact the most common camouflage scheme used at Normandy.

For those of you who cannot be bothered to look at the website (I am sure some of you have more exciting things to do today) :) I have quoted some script from the above page:

German Paratrooper's Helmet Liberated in France

This helmet was taken from the battlefield at Peneme, France on 7 June,
1944, following the decimation of 1st Bn, FJ Rgt 6, by elements of the 501 PIR. It exhibits the most common camo paint scheme used by German paratroopers in Normandy in June-July, 1944, and is the color scheme that should have been used on FJ helmets in the 'Band of Brothers' miniseries. This specimen was liberated by Lt G.W. Sefton, 2/501 PIR and is currently the pride of the webmaster's collection.

Very interesting website. I did find the use of the term "liberated" somewhat wry and with respect to German equipment or paraphernalia that was identified as belonging to a particular German soldier, I wonder if any surviving family members ever asked for it back.
