I gather the K&C latest arrival announcements of the 3 Chinese Generals showing being flanked by grey uniformed soldiers and pendants are in the pipeline for release as well. Hope someone can post a photo of them, cheers, Robin.

Robin mate,
Is this what you are after. Looks extremely good for this range. Just fiinshed watching Red Cliffs on DVD. That final battle is a corker.
Cheers Howard

That's the one, keeps the pulse going Howard. Yes I recently watched Red Cliff's to gain inspiration also. Perhaps this is another you could ask Andy about on Tuesday, but do not overload him, otherwise he will not want to come back to our shores, cheers, Robin.

Robin mate,
That question has move in to second place on my list after of course my Lighthorse question at number one.
This range is a must have and the battle scenes and dio pieces are endless. Just love those volleys of arrows from the Chinese archers. In the words of my good mate Frank "K&C Imperial China Rules"^&grin

these figures look like they would make a great display. I will watch from afar though as I still hope the coldstream guards CC figures become a full blown range!!

If anybody in Oz sees a place selling the series OD mentioned please let me know. Fascinating period and agree Red Cliffs a good movie for action scenes. Perhaps these will do for K&C what the Zulu movies does for Zulu figures.

Wayne better start researching Pagodas.

May I know where you managed the picture of the new 3 Kingdoms heralds and new soldiers ? I don't see it on the main K&C site ?

Question for Andy is ...

Will K&C draw inspiration for its 3 Kingdoms range from the year 2010 75 episode TV series ?
Example below

Is Zhang Fei, the 3rd member of the Liu Bei, Guan Yu brotherhood on K&C's planned release ?

...

OD mate,
The picture came from K&C HK as part of their new release emails sent out to all Collector Club members.
I will ask both of your questions of Andy tomorrow. More details on that 2010 TV series would be great to hear about. Looks awesome cobber.
Cheers Howard

Howard mate

Thank you for your response. Guess that I will sign up for the CC pretty soon too.
Hope you will all have a roaring good time with Andy & company over the weekend.

The Battle of the Red Cliff (and hence the 2 part, 280min plus movie released in 2008/9) covers a huge battle, where the 3 main factions actually clash in the period preceding and following the Han dynasty collapse. The entire period of conflict leading to the demise of the Han dynasty, from about 180 to 280 AD form the chronicles known popularly as the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms in Chinese literature.

In essence, the Red Cliff battle was the highlight of the 3 Kingdoms tales. It was the only time all 3 factions meet in battle but it was not the only compelling story from that whole period. Coincidentally, the 3 Kingdom period also parallels the peak of the Roman empire in the West, which is equally fascinating.

The 3 Kingdoms TV series, that I captioned below, is a 95 episode 70 plus hr series released in May 2010 and which has generally been well received by China and international audiences. An English sub-titled version with scrolling background facts ... is now available on DVD. This provides many more important and colorful historic characters than the Red Cliff movie, such as Lu Bu (the Darth Vader of his time) and Sima Yi, the strategist behind the ultimate succeeding Wei dynasty.

I can get for you the boxed DVD set but don't know how to get them to you. Are you or if you have a friend visiting Malaysia anytime soon ?
