Yep, FINALLY you were right Ron!^&grin

Please allow me this moment .... Ahhhhhhhhh

I wonder if Shannon would like to continue our conversation on the retirement of Market Garden now ? (just kidding Shannon :wink2:)

So where have yo been my friend. I know you couldnt let this opportunity go by^&grin

I thought Andy had said to the brisbane dinner that no plans to revisit yet. There was no talk of it being cancelled or discontinued?? so, its premature to announce its end.
Mitch

Actually I think someone (it may have been Wayne) said ' No plans to revisit but never say never'. I for one would love to see more Red Devils one day.

Rob

It's over and out to Market Garden, I guess we can now draw a line under that page of history, for a while at least.

Which of course gives K & C a window to introduce another range, Seminoles anyone? ^&grin

It was a bit more final than that - in fact, a lot more final. Think 'been there, done that, time to move on'. I think it was my post you are thinking of, but my addition of 'never say never' was me linking two separate statements that Andy made to avoid quoting him out of context. He said never say never, but not after every answer of 'no' to a plea for a particular release.

Someone at the dinner asked him about new collectors who started after the MG range and the need to cater to their interests given that they effectively arrived too late to acquire some pieces. That is what started the discussion. My interpretation - which is mine, not Andy's, of course - is that to see a MG release would require a complete about face on the part of K&C.

Jack

To complete the MG series for me, needs a 'Frost' figure. Perhaps the main chance of getting one now, would be if one is done as a club figure. Come on Andy play the game, please. Cheers, Robin.

Agreed, i would like to see some more MG in the future as well but considering how many series K&C is now producing, it may be a while (if at all) that Andy revisits this series.

Tom

It's over!, as Capitol Ron presciently predicted.

Time for Seminoles :)

Yes Andy was definite about it, which at the time was no issue for me but alas I have now started down the MG road to Arnhem and now wish he was less definite...{sm2} but thankfully there is plenty to be had on the secondary market...such is collecting T/S.....:wink2:
Wayne.

well, I still don't credit capitalron and his humourous predeiction. As many have said fundamental characters in the arnhem battle are missing and, final in andy's words we all know well, does not mean anything. No Jagdtiger and no russians definately was repeated many many times but, they are now here.

I think we will see more especially, if those areas of the world where collectors buying influences decisions jump on this range it will be addressed again. Wonder if this should be moderated as one of the new breed of posts which, are irritating and rammed down arnhem collectors throats????
Mitch

The tone of this thread is both informational and lighthearted. I fail to see how this is something being rammed down people's throats.

I think the problem is that we all take everything too seriously on this Forum. Everything is treated as a momentous decision in world history when it's not. The perspective of fun seems to have been forgotten.

Shame there no more Arnhem stuff coming out but lot of other stuff to collect

As an antendee at the Brisbane event my advice is you could be waiting quite a long while for future K&C MG releases. As they say dont hold your breath. Take the comments from those who were there as an indication MG is done. However I do agree with Robin's suggestion about Frost.

well, I won't hold my breath. I do think the range had a decent number of releases so, its not sparse just as others have mentioned some of the major players at key points have not been made.

I say one thing and nothing more.
Am disappointed in Andy's decision to stop with MG.:mad::mad::(

Market garden range was what got me into k&c from 1/6th, i have most of them in my collection. Its a big disappointment to hear they are not going to be anymore. The range had so many characters and poses to choose from, would have loved some hand to hand sets, dead and wounded sets. Really gutted to be honest.:( . i was hoping for mg sets and some d-day rangers this year. i know alot of people who are gutted about this range, what was the problem with it?? not enough sales?

best regards
liam
