The thing is, FOV and other 1/32 scale tanks are just that, 1/32 scale. There may be rare exceptions, but not many in 1/32 scale models. Assuming your equipment is ok I suspect you are measuring the tanks incorrectly.
Not a proper photo set up for precision measurement given the parallax error; but it should be sufficient to prove the validity of my measurements. Direct measurement is far more precise. Accuracy here is about .125"
