Toy Soldier Realism (2 Viewers)

Umm... has there been an official declaration that Figarti is dead? I do not think I have seen that.

Matt from Hobby Bunker said he will have some new Figarti items for sale at the Westcoaster. Not sure where the disconnect is.

Where are the FIGARTI items from the last show ??

Bergetiger_02.jpg

1 of these and a couple of Armored trains, how many many winter panthers made it to the US?

The FIGARTI of old is long gone and if you call a winter panther a release in 2+ Years that isn't a thriving company.

No kidding Wayno, I mean Figarti has made some really nice Tanks and aircraft, but where are the products ? Where are the updates to collectors ? Where is Figarti ?

The Figarti items from Chicago were supposed to be released in the first quarter, which is not yet over.

The people who are now running it are getting things together so it's too early to draw a conclusion one way or the other. Why don't we let the year run before making a judgment.

Been over 2 years mate how long does it take !!

Like i keep saying I hope I'm wrong but FIGARTI of old is GONE!!

I'm talking about last Chicago. I think some things will be coming out. At 2014 Chicago, they were still under the old management so let's consider that a throwaway. You may be proved right eventually but for the present let's give them some time.

I want to be proved wrong mate.

I too wish that Figarti will survive and prosper; but I don't think that will be the case. Figati marked old products are being sold in China; but nothing is shipping to the US. The prices are high for mundane repaints at $400.00 for a Panther! A very strange way to run a business. I would expect Matt to be in constant contact given that Hobby Bunker was the US distributer; was it not?

Well said

Panzerwaffer with his new Panther WWII photo. Compare the size relationship of the Panther and Panzerwaffe to the same relationship with Toy Soldier figures and armor.

Another comparison between a real King Tiger and a 1/25 Bandai scale model with Toy Soldier figures rangeing from 60mm to 70mm left to right. The right hand figure is from a 1/25 scale Tamiya Panther kit. The Figarti, TCS and K&C figures look very realistic and comparable to the Bovington Museum photo.

The ultimate test of realism in a model tank is comparison with the real tank and troops. The three photos do this in showing a group of US troops of a variety of heights arrayed beside a Sherman tank and two model scenes for comparison. The second photo are TCS figures and the third photo is the excellent K&C Fury M4A3E8 Sherman in the new larger 1/28 scale with the recently released US Tanker sets. Very realistic IMHO.

What not realistic with the crew with the Fury is there all the same height and shape which in my opinion is not realistic in real life IMHO

I did't say it was perfect; but it is a vast improvement over what has been done in the past, from the point of realism. The Tanker in front of the Sherman is on a large base; he would be a lot shorter than the others without the base. I like the K&C figures without the bases. Another step towards increased realism. The Tankers poses are also very realistic and make wonderful dioramas as Westen Outlaw has shown with his great photos.

If you look at it a different way Sherman Fury is dirty and been in action but the crew look on clean and fresh how is that realistic ?^&confuse

I agree! The tank could be a lot more dirty too. I think the War Daddy figure would be a lot better without the base. Otherwise I think they are nice models.

I don't remember anyone saying it is thriving. I think we are saying it is going through a change of ownership which may or may not be successful.

It is inappropriate to claim it is dead when others may be coming here for information about it. It may die, but may not. We should not claim things we are not sure are true.

Clearly labeling as an opinion is a different matter, but it should be clear that is what the statement is rather than fact.

The question was which company makes the most realistic looking figures and tanks. Collect and enjoy whatever companies stuff strikes your fancy, but the most realistic and lifelike looking figures/tanks are by First Legion. Figarti's vehicles are just as realistic too.

Brad; I agree that at this point in time the opinion that Figarti is deceased is speculation. I suggest we should consider Figarti in a deep coma and on life support! Rick Wang could very easily put these speculations to rest by coming on the Form and explaining the situation. I have received no replies to inquires on the Figarti website. Who is the spokesperson for the New Figarti?
