I recently posted photos of my circa 1866 diorama representing 4th U. S. Cavalry Regiment troopers Vs Comanche Warriors in western Texas using the newest Traverse Dioramics backdrop purchased at the 2012 OTS Show near Chicago. After getting back from the OTS Show I soon decided to buy a second Traverse backdrop from one of their prior productions that I thought would look good behind my WW1 diorama. I got this 2nd Traverse backdrop via Treefrog Treasures soon after the OTS Show. Again, I think the Traverse backdrop looks just fine behind my WW1 diorama and is a noteworthy improvement over the just one color medium blue poster board paper sheet I had up behind the scene previuosly. All figures and vehicles were made by King & Country. This diorama represents the German Army marching on to Paris in August 1914. Please see 4 photos below.

Hello Oliver:

I was just finishing my "fine tuning" of my new Thread on my WW1 diorama with the new backdrop when I saw the first reply to my new Thread. Thank you very much for your comments!

Gary...this is splendid...

I love the WWI figures...but the backdrop...the ballast road...the shrubs and trees...not to mention that you took the time to hide the bases...this is sweet...

EXCELLENT JOB!!!

Great scene! ^&cool I have just started collecting WW1 myself.

Thanks for sharing the pics Gary. It's a great scene w/ great depth. The backdrop works seamlessly w/ the foreground setting. Nice!:smile2:
Now I know where all the FW109's went!

Hey Gary, I remember a similar setup in Toy Soldier and Model Figure mag a couple of years ago. Was that your dio too?

Gary, what an impressive parade of German WW1 soldiers and what a nice set up. The back drop blends in nicely with your dio .Well done my friend . I love it

I want to thank "Joesgis"; "Go for Broke" & "Guy" for their kind comments!!! Yes, as "Go for Broke" noted I had a brief Letter to the Editor with a photo of my WW1 diorama of "1914....The March on Paris" diorama published a few years back. As I recall I was writing about a prior article in TS&MF noting how much I liked Gordon Neilson's dioramas and I sent one photo along with the article to show off one of my then more current dioramas. I also want to thank those who clicked on the "Like This Post" button.
