Tread lightly mate. (2 Viewers)

The TMG figure with the Bren gun has the more accurate tropical uniform.

I have a vague memory that some of the Australians in New Guinea might have been wearing hastily dyed uniforms. I may have dreamt it but perhaps dyed using tea leaves ... can anyone confirm?

Wayne,

You are correct when the regulars reached NG they discovered their uniforms stood out like dog' xxxx so they dyed them using native plants.

Great little DIO.

Good to see on lead up to ANZAC day.

Jack,

Sorry you were correct they dyed them with what ever they could fine.

Great seeing a 'South Pacific' themed display Wayno, especially like the lush vegetation.^&grin

I suspect you've been raiding the local pet shop again for a bit more than doggie treats.:tongue:

It looks like Mr Tealeaf with the Bren is a bit wary of the new guys in their flashy khaki gear, he's happy to sit behind those reeds for now. Let's see what happens, maybe there's some Japs up the track {eek3}

What a fantastic group of images! I love all the different types of foliage in this image set. Is a bamboo hut on the horizon?

Goldfish supplies may satisfy some, Model Railway supplies satisfy even more !
But if you're in the look out for the Jungle or forest fern look, then I've found cutting up to suit your dio:
suits me and may suit you too !
