Trophy ACW (1 Viewer)

This is set Gy3 consisting of 19 pieces of the Texas Brigade With General Lee before the Battle of the Wilderness. It is rare because production stopped because of a copyright infringement claim.

What a wonderful set, Tommy... even ACW is not exactly my forte..I have seen one in a while ago but sadly passed on it at that time. Do you know how many have been made?

Brad: That photo is a treat. Trophy's Confederate Artillery in those gloss tones is timeless. They do such a good job with their depictions...graceful and understated. Tommy: You deserve huge kudo's to have accumalated such a great collection of ACW glossies. Is it all Trophy? Or is there some Ron Wall, TedToy and Guard Corps Ltd. etc spliced into the collection? I ask as I have watched some recent Ebay auctions of a lady selling her fathers collection of ACW glossies including some splendid Ron Wall 1st Virginia Cavalry and generic CSA cavalry boxed sets that are really nice figurines. ACW gloss figurines are obviously a different motif than the more widely accepted matte finished figures that seem to dominate today's market but from a collectibility standpoint the gloss figures seem to be just as popular. Thanks for the thread this is good stuff.

Mine is just about all Trophy. I have some old Britains ACW and some of the new in other cabinets but I prefer Trophy glossy. Martyn has really been coming up with some ACW sets I didn't know were ever available. Thanks for your kind words.
