Here two 4.7 inch guns are being set up by the Naval Brigade to assist in the relief of Ladysmith. On 28 February 1900 the relief of Ladysmith was effected after 117 days in which the Naval Brigade had played a very full part.

Martyn,
Those 4.7's look great! Can you interpret why the one dug in set has green bases? Also, were these the Long Toms against the Pom Poms?:p

An absolutely gorgeous set. Is this from your recent additions?

Hi Randy

Glad you like it.;)

The gun emplacement is one of the sets I found last weekend, the Oxen drawn set I found at the December Show

Hi Mike

Glad you like them, I must agree they do look great;)

From what I can gather AZW sets have green bases, AFGHAN and BOXER have grey bases and EGYPT and THE SUDAN and BOER have brown. Now that is obviously not the case with the gun emplacement set, as you know the 4.7 was not used in the AZW but the figures have green bases, strange or another Len quirk.

Those are really cool sets.
I can see them on my wife's computer which is WIndows \.
On my lap top I have Linux and I cannot see them at all.
Thanks for posting Martyn and for resolving the issue about the wounded Zulu.

Thanks Brian. Trophy did make some fabulous sets but it is getting harder to find them, just have to grab them when ever you see them.

Here are a couple of Royal Artillery guns, one is being test fired and the other gun team is relaxing having completed the test firing of their gun.

Way cool.
Where are those lazy Jack Tar's
Skiving off again.

Dam unsporting.

Outstanding sets and perfect photos. I love the set of the artillery guys taking a break.

The only other way to pull those big guns up to Ladysmith would be elephants.
I wonder if an elephant towed gun is available from Trophy.
We will have to wait and see.:D
