Al, I thought this was a Boer War gun with Green Base? WOW, the variations of Trophy, seems like a constant mystery for the Sherlocks of the board!

I thought too but a label on the box reads Peking. I also so green bases on many Sudan pieces. Who knows what Len's painters were smoking when painting these bases...^&grin... Nothing prevents you from using this it the Boer war, I guess... the regiment was there and Khaki uniforms were commonly used there.

Good idea for a thread Al, here is one of my Nordenfeldt's with Naval Brigade crew, notice a different Officer to your one and in Blue and White for the Sudan campaign

Cheers

Thank you, Martyn for your pictures contributions :)... I think, Trophy also made another set like mine for BR, only in blue uniforms instead of khaki, I will post post its pictures when I got it.
I hope in this thread we will be able to post pictures of the most machine gun sets made by Trophy including ones for AZW.

I think the Boxer Rebellion sets gave a choice of uniform colour, bit like the Indian Artillery set in the Boxer series. The only machine gun set listed in the Trophy Boer Boer catalogue is the Maxim, both carriage and tripod version.....but then there could well have been "Specials" ^&grin

With reference to the colour of the bases, I have had Dervish sets with green bases before now :wink2:

The machine gun in ACW 45 probably qualifies. I don't have a handy photo but Martyn probably does.

Hi Martyn: Great MG sets and nice to have them all in one thread. Do you keep them all on one shelf or do you have them with their units? Tommy

Hi Tommy

I've got some with their units but not enough room to display them all unfortunately.

Thank you , Martyn, a very interesting set similar to BR one listed on eBay. What Trophy range will it go with? Could you please also state a set number and a Trophy range when you post a picture. These references will be very helpful.
I am going to pull my MG sets out of boxes and take pictures. I am sure Tom and Larry, have interesting MG sets to to share {sm4}
