Trophy of Wales (3 Viewers)

Here is an interesting scale, or how much larger the real Martini-Henry round is compared to a couple of men from my Trophy regiment. The bugler has approx. 50 rounds in his helmet. Mike

Looks like the sprinting Zulus made good time going cross country. Having the same two figures that you've featured with the Martini-Henry round my bugler is blonde headed and my 24th rifleman is a private where yours is shown being a coporal showing how flexible Mr. Taylor was in providing his figures. Looking forward to seeing your new arrivals from across the pond....The Lt.

I was just about to say. That bugler carrying ammunition in his helmet came from a Hand to hand set where he was being chased by a Zulu warrior. The drummer boy had blonde hair. I don't recognize the other figure either. Great sets though
Regards
Damian

Lt.
or Damian or anyone that knows. Here's some Trophy 24th in ragged order at the base of Isandlwana. My question is do you recognize the guy on the extreme left from any of your sets. He is obviously an early release and not as good in the haberdashery department. Let me know if you do. Thanks Mike

Boy I sure do like those Trophy. The h2h series were the first traditional soldiers about 16 years ago. HZ1,2,3,4! I looked them up the other night. Does any one know how those sets actually look? I am afraid they are mixed up.

I've a similar posed older figure done as a Colour-Sergeant without a back pack wearing the same type helmet in tan reflecting a later issue of the Foreign Service Helmet. Presenting The Colour-Sergeant.....The Lt.

I think the older guys had dots for eyes, round spot of blush, and no white outline on the uniform facings. Still love that TM mark on the bottom though! Mike

You have got a classic there Mike. Early trophy for sure. As you say they got a bit more in terms of facial features as things went on.

Damian

Dr. Damian,

Do you have any older figures that look similar? I've no idea how to identify him. Mike

Damian,

My Bad! These figures are great. Do you know about when they were produced?
KV, older means wiser, and earlier models, chronologically, I suppose. Mike

Here is Colour Sargeant A. Booth V.C. 80th Regiment after his escape from Intombi, rethinking his future in service to the Queen. Mike
