Tried to help out Martyn but seems the source I knew of is no longer available. In the mean time here's our Trophy's Mr Daniels my Aide de Camp and Martyn guarding his wagon......The Lt.

I do like the Trophy ferryman

Thanks for trying Joe, I'm sure someone will come up with the answer.

Here are some Kings Royal Rifle Corps figures

I've found out that this is a Seaforth Highlander. I've managed to find 5 other Seaforths including a Piper and Drummer along with set DS18 SEAFORTHS IN KHAKI, PRONE FIRING. Pictures to follow;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Martyn,
Bring me up to speed, if you please, on the battle the Seaforth was in, and why the Highlander is shooting his Egyptian ally:eek:

Good morning Mike, 0345 this side of the pond and just off to a Militaria Fair in Chatham Kent to try and refill the coffers:D

Check out this link about the Battle of Tel-El-Kebir

After this the Egyptians were soon on our (British) side;)

Cheers

I forgot that this established the Khedive Tawfiq back to power nominally and led down the road to Baring, the Mahdi, and Gordon... Thanks for setting me straight! Starting to love the era!

Hi Mike
I is a very interesting era with lots of differing action. You have Egyptians against British, British against Dervish, British and Egyptians against Devish. The battles take place in towns and open desert, loads of scope for great dioramas;)

Plus you have Naval Brigade, Highland Brigade, various Guards cavalry regiments, over a dozen various British Infantry regiments, Camel Corps, cavalry and infantry from the Indian Army +++++++++++ AN ARMOURED TRAIN:cool:

You can't forget personalities from the Zulu War who took part including Lieutenant-General Sir Garnet Wolseley, GCB, GCMG, Major-General D.C. Drury-Lowe, CB and Major-General Sir Evelyn Wood VC, GCMG, KCB

Cheers

Martyn:)

Seem like this bunch of Zulus are meeting their end in front of your Gatling Guns Martyn....The Lt.

Lt.,
A great shot and setup of "all hell breaking loose", Joe! And I'm sure you had the Zulus "pluckiness" in mind as you did. What courage and bravery to face an onslaught like that...

I'm also sure you'll settle for some peace and quiet while we contemplate Battle Strategy away from the action , with the ever-present Redvers Buller.
Mike
