I keep saying that your figures are great! I am running out of superlatives. For the love of God please stop! Think of the vowels!

Historically speaking, I believe the brown helmets are correct. They were issued white but the troops in the field used tea, among other things, to make them brown so that they would be less conspicuous. The 1964 movie Zulu had the 24th Foot wearing white helmets and toy soldier producers went along. However, Trophy made identical sets with one or the other and asked the buyer to specify which they wanted. Imperial offered only white helmets while Frontline offered only brown even on their original glossy Zulu War line.

Thought The attached photo would shed some light on the Foreign Service Helment worn during the campaign......The Lt.

I,ll secound that ,the bus looks superb .
In an earlier photo posted by Damian on this thread their
is a shot of napoleonics at a wall and gate
does anyone know which set they came from ?

The gate is part of the Trophy set called " The Defence of La Haye Sainte". It included the gates and walls of L a Haye Sainte and 24 figures which included King's German Legion Defenders and attacking French soldiers.

Terrific homage and terrific figures. Great job Damian.

I agree Brad, Damian has the ability of coming up with quite a few gems from his collection along with nicely done comments from time to time....The Lt.

Thank you for all the kind comments
Here is my tribute to Islandwana .
The lyrics and musics are by Johnny Clegg and Sipho Mchune of the band Juluka
The song is called Impi

Strictly Trophy, before putting my Warriors away for a well deserved rest I put together a MINI DIO to see what it would look like. It consits of only items provided by Trophy and feature only sets or figures set on their square bases. Once again the little kid in me had a ball putting it together and taking photos and K.V. promise to insure they get well rested. You'll note the Lt's. right in the thick of it........The Lt.

Both of you guys are doing a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing all the pics. I picked up a new dresser with a lot of storage and about ten square feet of display. A real chore to put the Napoleonics away:( Lots of fun setting up a civil war battle. Lots of Zouaves:)

Funny. My next door neighbour has just started taking up the drums. Every time he starts, I have the same irresistable urge to disuade him from continuing in that very same manner.
Wouldn't be so bad if the guy actually had rhythm, but Cozy Powell he ain't.

Simon

That looks sore
Regards
Damian

You could say he is getting his point across:eek:

You could cut his sticks so that they fall apart when he next uses them.
