Hello,

I just joined the forum on 27 Dec 08, so I am the "NKOB".

Trophy of Wales is way in front as my favourite manufacturer.

Len Taylor arguably made the finest 54 mm gloss figures of all time.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I am the 19th voter on the Trophy Poll.

A Very Happy New Year to one and all !!

Welcome aboard Glossman,
Which Trophy period do you collect?
Brian

Thanks very much to all of you for the very warm welcome to the forum.

I hope that you and your families in the US, UK and Canada will have a very Happy, Healthy and Safe 2009.

My favourite Trophy sets are from the Zulu War. I have been admiring some of the great Zulu War sets and dioramas that you guys have been posting.

JUST AWESOME !!

We are just 70 minutes into the New Year here, so the celebrations are rolling on. I shall rejoin later.

Hi Mike, Martyn, the Lt, Brian and the BritFarmer,

You guys are the kind souls who so warmly welcomed me to this forum.

(I hope I did not leave anyone out).

Now that the festivities of the New Year are over, it is back to Trophy..... fiddlesticks, I mean back to work.

Almost all my Trophy Zulu War sets are packed and stored in the "Armoury".

My collection is pretty modest to say the least; it stands no where in comparison to what the Lt, Martyn and Mike have posted.

To be a real contributor to the Trophy threads in this forum, I feel I must post my share of images, but allow me some latitude in time. I need to get pass the CO and Armoury Guard Commander.

Tomorrow, I shall review all the posts in Lt's thread as I did for Martyn's thread. I shall try to be a little creative in showing sets that have already been on parade.

Don't worry Mike, No Rocket Batteries......

All the Best, glossman.

Hi Glossman,

Please post what you have, your Trophy collection can not be more modest than my three sets. I have posted one of the sets so far. Talk to the CO and get that pass.

Hello Martyn, Mike and Brian ,

Thanks for the encouragement.

I have been trying to raise the Regimental Colour of the 24th Regiment of Foot as my profile image under User CP.

For some unknown reason, I have had repeated "upload failed" messages.

I hope this does not happen when I start posting images.

And I thought I was IT savvy.....

Have a Great Weekend, glossman.

It could be the image is too large, reduce it a little and try again.

:)

Hi glossman

The problem is probable image size. Make sure the maximum size of your avatar image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Hope this helps

Have a good weekend

Martyn:)

Damian,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome to the forum.

I have just been admiring the images of your collection in the Lt's thread re: Trophy of Wales. Simply Magnificent !!

Martyn,

Thanks for the advice on the profile image. It is only 6 kb but I still can't get it uploaded.

I must be getting on in years. At this rate, I will be on Golden Pond before I can post my images.

Have a Great Weekend, glossman.

Happy to hear glossman that you'll be featuring your collection of Trophy sets as they're released from the Armoury and looking forward to seeing the first of your photos...........The Lt.

Hi guys, i am another trophy addict that has been laying low on the forum for a couple of years. I collect a wide variety of manufactures but i never get a better feeling than when i get to open a box of trophy figures. There are none better. I think i have a pretty extensive collection and after seeing some of the pictures here i would love to post some of mine but i am a rookie when it comes to a computer. I wish there was an easy guide on how to post pictures somewhere. If there is can anybody help? My collection covers the napoleonic period (1200) zulu wars (300) and the awi,ww1,boxer rebellion, sudan and the afghan period of about 100 each. I have abunch of sets that are rare or possibly one of a kind made that i would like to share with you all. I have a few displays but my battle of waterloo one is my favorite (12ft long). Anyhow i am glad to see there are still a few good hardcore trophy collectors out there

Hi Hawkeye

Probably the quickest and easiest way to add pics is to create an album right here on the forum. Go to your profile (UserCP) and then in the column on the left side it will show you an option for adding an album. What you do then is add photos to it by choosing the pics from your computer (there is a link that will say something like upload images) It will then bring you to the next stage where you actually add the pictures one line at a time from your PC. Then click upload and the voila done. Members can then look at the photos there or to insert them in a post go to the picture you want and below it will be 2 links (right click the bottom one, choose copy) the go to your post and right click and then choose paste). Save the post and then it should show up. I usually have 2 forum windows open when I am doing this (one for my post and one with the album)

I hope this helps you.

Scott

Hi HAWKEYE

I agree with Scott, Mike and Damian, please post pictures of your sets as soon as you are able. I would love to see what you have in the AZW range.

Cheers
