Martyn,

Holy Mackeral!!!!!!! In addition to TWO Rocket Batteries, You have the rarest of rare Zulu sets. Wonderful. If I may ask, do you know the set #s on the Naval & Marine sets? Lovin' Trophy Zulu!!!! Mike

Welcome aboard GICOP and thanks for joining in and posting the photos of your sets. I know you've made 1879's day as well as mine and look forward to seeing any additional sets you may have........The Lt.

Hi Mike

I’m glad you like the sets I’ve pictured.

I was very lucky to start collecting TROPHY ZULU WAR figures in the early 1990’s and bought each and every set as it was released.

As all the Zulu War sets depicted Rorkes Drift or Islandwana I thought it would be different to collect sets which represented regiments present at the Battle of Gingindlovu.

Len, the owner of TROPHY, had several sets painted for me as “one off’s”. These sets represented the British Regiments which took part in the Battle of Gingindlovu.

I own 6 sets of each of the following plus a Command set for each

3rd Regiment, the Buffs
57th Regiment
3rd Battalion, 60th Rifles
91st Highlanders
99th Regiment
Royal Marine Light Infantry

The sets comprise:

6 x STANDING FIRING
6 x KNEELING FIRING
6 x STANDING RELOADING
6 x KNEELING RELOADING
6 x STANDING AT THE READY
6 x KNEELING AT THE READY

I also have Royal Navy Field Gun and Gatling Gun and Royal Marine Field Gun and Gatling Gun sets to go with this unique collection. The Royal Marine sets have no set #s (one off’s) but the Royal Navy sets were originally available in the BOXER REBELLION series, not sure of the set #s, sorry.

The total number of Trophy Zulu War figures I own is in the region of 900+ including Mounted Infantry, Natal Native Contingent, Frontier Light Horse and 17th Lancers and even a Mule train with the mountain howitzer

I’ll see if I can get some more sets posted over the weekend

Cheers

Martyn

Martyn,
Truly you have some treasures indeed. And I love the fact that you went after lesser known, but important battle (to save Pearson and quell the coastal region) of "GinGinIloveyou";) It would probably be safe to say that your one-of a-kind sets are priceless(to me at least) Seeing your collection in pictures will please a bunch of us here very much! Len didn't make up any
BBG for you?!:)
Mike

Joining Damian in thanking you Martyn for providing the photos of the 60th. Len did a nice job in providing them for you. When you can find the time would you be good enough to provide photos of your Marines. Looks like we're going to keep on requesting photos and hope you don't mind Mounted figures and sets are next followed by whatever hand to hand sets that you may also have and hopefully you won't regret coming on board and I hope not:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:....The Lt.

Sorry, but I am going to have to disappoint you regarding the pictures of my Zulu War dioramas. I have hunted high and low for them but all I can find are a couple of poor quality ones, I shall keep looking.

All my Trophy Zulu figures were boxed and stored away several years ago and the display cabinets are now filled with King and Country D-Day, Battle of the Bulge and Fall of Berlin sets.

This is all I can find at the moment.

Apologies for the pictures but they were all taken pre digital.

WOW :eek: that is some serious Zulu collection you have there. Many thanks for sharing and hopefully seeing more pics if you are able to find them.
