Martyn,
Thanks for the photos. Hope that 24pdr flies straight!
Do you know the diff between HZ4 and HZ4a for Boerboy? I know the 4a has the Zulu with 24th jacket. I don't know the HZ4.

Thanks Mike.

Hi Alex (boerboy)

I think the only difference might be the bases. I have HZ4 which has the Zulu on a small green base, maybe HZ4A has the "green and brown" base.

Here is my HZ4

Uh oh, I think it may be time to watch "Zulu" again!:D

Mike Laeding told me that the letter suffix just referred to the use of a new mould. When a mould would wear out, the sets from the new mould would have an "a" or subsequent letter added to the end of the set number. The further down the alphabet, the newer the set.

Thanks Mike.

Hello Martyn,
Thank you for your reply and a picture. I just got app. 50 Trophy Zulu figures in collection I acquired and I am trying to sort them out in their boxes which came separately. I think HZ4A variation has something to do with a position of Zulu shield: I have two Zulu figures in red jacket: one holds a shield in vertical position (like in your set) and another in horizontal position....
I will post a picture later.
Thank you.
Alex

Looking forward to seeing your pictures Alex.

Check out my albums, I have listed all my HZ sets and it might help you match up your figures. Otherwise pm me the set numbers on the boxes you have and I will check them out for you

Alex,
By all means, don't throw them out! I'll come down and pick 'em up, free of charge:p

Martyn,
Great pictures and very special reference material for all of us. I'm going to post some stuff tonight that you might like!

Poor Boerboy with all those loose Trophy (and Imperial w/Shield w/o horse). I 'll have to perform one of my top-secret infiltration operations down in Philadelphia, it's closer than Surrey!:p
