If you are worried about ordering direct from K & C Hong Kong, then do not.
I have ordered 3 times in the last 12 months, mainly from the End Of Remainder offers, but they have arrived in good time and out of the three orders I have been hit for customs once. Therefore i can recommend taking advantage to pick up some pieces at a discount and any others you are wanting.

On Customs - if i get away with no customs charges then it is a bonus, but i don't mind paying it [I always cost the charges in when buying] because it is paying for, as are taxes, doctors, nurses, military personnel and much more. No moral high horse here, i just sometimes think we forget what our taxes pay for.

Great service from King and Country Hong Kong, Kristy Au deserves a shout-out :salute::

As far as Customs tax goes here are a few where I don't like my hard earned going............

Overseas Aid :rolleyes2:

Providing a Border Force taxi service for Illegals crossing from France :rolleyes2:

.................and then paying to put Illegal Immigrants in 4 Star Hotels while Ex Servicemen are homeless

Stay safe

I would agree, K&C’s shipping service to the U.K. has been easy and unproblematic. However, may I ask, have you ordered and received anything from K&C since January 1st?

If the papers are to be believed there has been a sudden rash of additional costs - one hopes that applies only to shipping from Europe...

MANY THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR APPRECIATIVE WORDS.
K&C are very fortunate to have a great team supporting our overseas collectors and dealers...
Thanks again,
Andy.

Afraid not, not effecting just EU sellers, I had an email from Julie saying that HM Customs were wanting Treefrog to collect the revenue for them and as Treefrog don't want to do that and who can blame them and so customers will be liable for them as they have always been, unless as before you're lucky and Customs miss it.
No doubt other US dealers will likely follow.

Y-weido on ebay is adding the extra 20%, so that should mean that the handling fee Parcel Force / Royal Mail etc charge should be avoided, but the VAT will be collected. I can see this could curtail Toy Soldier buying by UK residents from abroad somewhat.

Just like to echo Martyn's words and say what a great service K&C do !

Gents ,
it is no longer interesting as a Continental European to buy in the UK, import taxes, custom charges and VAT are increasing heavily the published purchase prices (including ebay).
Just to give you a practical example that just happened to me : I do some paint work for a British collector . When he sends his items to me, as from the 1st on Jan 2021 onwards I have to pay import and custom tax on the goods he sends to me for painting. When I send him back the painted items , the same thing happens to the UK collector namely extra charges import tax and custom duties are again due .

Yes, in the past I have bought some items from Saimex in Italy, having met them at the London show.

I’m assuming that any orders from Saimex will now be subject to these fees? It will mean that they are no longer a viable option for UK customers.

it is somewhat annoying for both collectors and EU dealers to have such options curtailed.

This thread is not about this it is about K & C deliveries from Hong Kong, not interested in these views. Let stick to the thread and not what you may have read in the Sun or Daily Mail newspapers.

You can use a certain Tarriff code to get away from customs. Trick is because I collect militaria too I try and get some of that in the package then the package genuinely has original pieces of collectable militaria and I always avoid charges.

Listen, you bought up Customs and stated how you didn't mind your taxes going towards doctors, nurses, military personnel and much more, I pointed out who I didn't like mine going towards.

K&C get full marks from me :salute::

Interesting use of the word 'propaganda', as not seen as a negative word until after WW2, i have heard the word used by the Labour Party and the Conservative parties in the UK when talking about the BBC.
