Holy Cow.......someone just sold a BBA04 on Ebay for over $650!:D

And they did it with a stock photo! I guess the recession is officially over!

This is certainly one for the record books........someone go call Guiness!:D

I have one new-in-box and I'll sell it for the low low price of $500.

That's just weird, that set and the Stug set have been poor sellers. I guess two guys with more money than sense just really wanted one.....NOW :D

Wow,

You know, sometimes the bad sellers become hot items when they are gone, I always liked both the Stug and this one!

Hi Guys,

Even I get surprised at some of these Ebay auctions. However, one small point… Oz’s comment about “poor sellers”… needs a bit of clarification… For the record, the BBA004 “Winter Jeep” was a great little mover with almost 2,000 units sold worldwide.

I’m assuming the “Stug” he is referring to is the “Americanized” version from Battle of the Bulge… On that one I will admit… it is slower mover but I still like it and think it will be one of those “sleepers” a few years from now.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

LOL, after I posted my comment it crossed my mind that someone would mention the Jeep set disappeared from the dealers long before the Stug set, but I wasn't expecting that Andy C would pop in :D I wonder how many of the people that bought the Jeep set know, or care, that the two figures are Germans in disguise ;) I actually bought a damaged Jeep set from Treefrog but sold it as it was difficult to fit into my non dio style display. Yes, I am kicking myself a bit now

Yeah, you're right. I didn't care the MPs were really Germans and the Jeeps is still a USA classic along with the 2.5 Ton GMC Truck.

Carlos

WOW !

But, you know - American Jeeps are in short supply with WWII K&C Ranges right now ! That BBA04 - is a great piece for Winter Displays and unless you know that there were suppose to be the German Imposters - they look good in a display.

Some of these small sets - still available - have that potential o taking off !

I much prefer the more flexible and genuine DD075 version myself as it depicts the unappreciated 1st Infantry Division.

OMG, someone just listed BBA04 at US $499.00  I wonder if it's Obama trying to convince any doubters that the tide is turning :D

Well it was one heck of an auction! It looks like two different bidders got

into a real "Gun Fight"!

As long as everyone is happy its a good deal!

You have to admit King & Country items really get the folks excited!

I just picked up the Great Roman Arch myself.......been hunting for it for

quite awhile. My photos aren't the best......but what a Great Piece!

It would make a great display in anyone's Den!:)

Rob

Yes me to rob, after getting my market garden MG001 i will get the other d day ones & the sas before ritirement. I would have loved this one to but wow that is alot of coin for a jeep.

Somebody might get stabbed to death by a toy bayonet from a toy soldier now.

Hmmmm, anyone try auctioning escort services on eBay yet??:D

I tried it Bill. Put up a photo of my best side and everything. I offered myself up for a real low opening bid and I still had no takers, other than a Libyan camel dealer who enquired about a trade on the condition I dyed my hair blonde. I personally felt I was worth more than 2 second hand camel blankets, so I declined. :(;)
