Enjoying all of John's new stuff but will any of the WW2 items be made from years back?
I made expensive purchases because of add on sets advertised and they have never appeared.
Not a gripe just an enquiry before ppl start defending JJD.

If it's advertised it as a prototype for a field you are collecting it can be rough waiting.
I see your point about new ranges: perhaps we should finish the candy in our mouths before we open some more...
I hope to see JJD live up to its advertising. They never promised anything but still...
Anyway, I love John's work all the same.
Best Collecting Wishes

Yes sometimes a long wait, example being from drawings in the run up to Christmas year before last to being available for Boudicca's Chariot was way over a year ! Though it was well worth the wait and same has been for the current crop of mounted Romans.
But if not one of my core interests, then I too would of given up and moved on.

Announced in June 2020 and the reason I collected the Panzer I variants . . .

Just saying we would like to see advertised (not promised) released before a new series buries it.
Love all John's releases
Pat Sr and Paddy

I long since resigned to using other manufacturers products with much of my JJD WWII items. The recent USAAF pilots from W. Britains scale perfectly with the JJD P-51 and we have tons of WWII German SS and Wehrmacht figures from the likes of War Park, Britains, and First Legion that go perfectly with the JJD WWII German armor. That said, would I get the remainder of the JJD Stug III figures and the USAAF figures if John decided to release them? Yes I would…

well i hear you there, but i was sure anticipating those german panzer soldiers. i could use the us ground crew too but i bet there are many who would buy the panzers supply troops

Bonnie Prince Charlie took a bonnie lang uair (I think that last word means "time") to come out. We almost gave up.
But there are advantages to the way John releases things. There is usually something for everyone.
Memnon and his army may be out before Helen & Priam, for whom we have waited a while.
This is my third response and the third time I'll say let's finish some ranges/series before starting too many more.
One aside: I'd like to see some more Myceneans for Troy.
I'll "drop the mic" here. Best JJD collecting,
Paddy

I love the variety and surprises we get each month. Keep em coming and if some ranges take a while to complete then be patient. Personally I would get bored with ranges that go on forever like K&C WW2 Germans. But that's just my view.

I think John doesn’t overdo the WW2 stuff too much as there are other companies that specialises in that area. I dont collect much WW2 so lucky for me. I love everything John does and have had to wait for things as well but i get the fact people would jump into a range because of the big picture, ie a plane and crew….. and then be totally frustrated when the crew doesnt come. I hope everyone gets there toy soldier wish come true, but sometimes its a long wait

Yep same again, I heard John was worried these figures wouldn't sell.

They would definitely sell and hope John releases them soon.

One of the reasons I brought his camo 'Stag' was the accompanying proposed wounded figure set.

He definitely shouldn't shy away from releasing a few associated figures that compliment his stunning vehicles.

Yes there are lots of WW2 figures out there, however I'd imagine most collectors would prefer to use the same manufacturers figures than mix and match other brands.

Lets face it Germans sell well and often form the backbone of any manufacturer.

However I get what you're saying......

You have to mix n match if you want scale harmony.

John replied which in itself speaks volumes here is his reply and all is good news...................

Hello Wayne Many thanks for taking the time to drop me a line. I understand your frustration, and disappointment regarding the two second world war collections. If its any help I do hope to complete these projects over the Christmas and Chinese New Year holidays. This means that the pieces with any luck should be available from the middle of 2024. I also understand that this might not be acceptable. In my defense you have to understand that the last three years have been pretty insane! The best laid plans have often been torn up and thrown out! As I go through my news updates to see what else I have missed, there is the Aztec Temples, and the Hellcat still outstanding. I hope to have found a solution to the temple, which also may be available next year. It has been insane, and a very challenging three years, and I am only just starting to feel we are beginning to come out of the worst of it. My priority has been to concentrate on production, and to keep everything moving forward. This has been at the expense of more than the two to four series I have not produced. It’s insane I don’t have a website! It upsets me that the Caption Contest has gone,…. the Chicago Treasure hunt, and golden anniversary tickets, and the advent calendar are no more. These were all things that I felt were important, as it made my company and collecting, about having fun!. It would certainly upset me to disappoint collectors, especially as we have worked so hard to stay in business these last few years. I have been considering stopping the updates etc, and concentrating in 2024 on catching up with all the announcements, and trying to get back to some basics. Such as a website, and all the special contests etc, which kept the fun in the collecting. Once again, many thanks for taking the time to drop me a line. I understand your frustration, but wish you all the best for a less disappointing 2024! Best regards john jenkins

John at JJD

Late war summer’44 Camouflage Germans for your Armour would compliment the released panthers, half tracks & sell out immediately. Likewise compliment mounted panzer grenadiers for half track would be fantastic.

If you did a US Summer Sherman easy eight that be fantastic also.
