UPS package thief falls down on job (1 Viewer)

Most of the people who do stuff like this are drug addicts. They “turn” the contents for whatever they can get in cash. Addicts really got killed when food-stamps went electronic and became all but unfungible. The ridiculous element of this particular situation is that the medications (which may have been generic) likely had little or no street-value. The thieves needed something that they could sell at a Mercado or pawn-shop, particularly luxury goods. Just imagine their reaction were they to open the parcel and find toy soldiers!:eek: Bet they’d much rather have nabbed a box of sneakers. I’m certainly glad they didn’t hurt the homeowners. Of course, dopers usually don’t hurt anyone unless the victim gets between them and their next fix.:rolleyes:

She may sue the home owner if injured. Chris

She slipped on the grass, an open and obvious condition. There is no inherently dangerous condition, so no grounds for a negligence lawsuit, even if she were stupid enough to open herself to criminal prosecution by attempting to make the claim. Just my humble opinion as an Appellate Attorney.{sm4}

They - it's a gang in our State - were on TV tonight since they all got caught and went on trial. She showed up in front of the judge in a wheelchair...

Priceless, I hope they get the full weight of the law and jail time. A statement should be made!
