US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (2 Viewers)

Why did this bother you so much? You cannot be such a snowflake that a bit of mocking gets you angry, wait until someone shows you Saturday Night Live.

Why are you not angry at the lies they are mocking sprouted by Trump and Hegseth. Get some real perspective and be angry that they murdered over 160 children in a school, the launching of an attack/war in the Style of Pearl Harbour, one could say a terrorist attack, without the good grace to inform your allies, both in NATO and in the region. The continual lies about why, lies about the damage they have done and how the Iranians have no airforce and/or navy, they have destroyed it, then who is blocking the straits or shooting down $100 million dollar aircraft [now 2 we know of] or striking airbases, one thing for sure, it is not Paw Patrol doing it.

In the attack a few months ago, Trump insisted they had destroy Iranian nuclear capabilities for decades, so was he lying then or is he lying now?

Trump never thinks things through, he is like a man who has painted the floor and has painted himself into a corner, has no plan to get out and unlike in most previous things, he cannot do his normal TACO stance and claim victory. Difference here is it is not paint, but more likely blood and not that of him or his family, but of others and could include a lot of Americans and has certainly included the blood of children.

I miss the great presidents, Bush Snr, OBama, Reagan, Kennedy, Adams and many more. Plus leaders, such as McCain, John Lewis, read a book on Henry Clay from Kentucky, never won the top job but was a great leader.
this little snowflake is mad about a lot of things...I sure don't need someone else to tell me what to be mad about...

They were negociating with the Iranian regime, in 2018 under the previous Trump government a report said the Iranians were holding up their end of the agreement they had, so they were reasonable, the reason they might be be now is they are being attacked and trump is lying about negociating. Plus not great diplomacy to be bombing a country and then complaining why they will not negocate. Might be good to stop the bombing and then talk, why does someone not ask the israeli's to tell the Americans to stop the bombing, the Israel's are incharge, in this situation America is Israel's B*t*h.
The Iranians are "reasonable"? LOL. Tell that to the people murdered and raped on Oct. 7. Tell it to the thousands of their own citizens who they have just murdered. Tell it to the 19-year-old kid they just hung. There is no negotiating with them. Things would not have reached this point if there was any basis for compromise. Obama sent them a plane load of cash. How did that work out?

Yes, I'm surprised these types do not volunteer to go to Iran and talk reason with them. Imagine the "No Kings" types protesting in Iran:

"According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (Hrana), at least 7,000 people were killed in the January crackdown, including 6,488 protesters and 236 children."

I am in no way trivializing the loss of that jet.

I am thankful for the safe return of 1 of the crew and I hope the other crew member is found safely soon.

However, in this new age of constant commercialized media I can’t help but wonder what WW2 would have been like if we had this same type of instant access to information in the 1940’s?

In conflict/wars combatants die. It is amazing to me that today’s media report this fact as some sort of new phenomenon.
Forget WW II. Vietnam was not that long ago but even that was almost 60 years ago. Most people reporting the news weren’t alive then. We are in the age of thinking that we are the first to experience something.

If Japan had bombed Pearl Harbor yesterday, today the headlines would read "Dow drops 1,100 points, markets in turmoil due to Japan dropping a couple of bombs on Pearl Harbor, President Trump declares war on Japan, this justified attack on the Pacific Fleet was done thanks to Trump cutting off their oil supply as they roll through Asia. Protestors have already taken to the streets waving Japanese flags shouting "We love Japan!!", several postage stamp sized US flags were reported in the crowds as well, one woman with a nose ring, purple hair and coming it at a svelte 250LB's with a degree in English said "This is a democracy, not a constitutional republic and just another example of this king we have in charge who won an election doing whatever he wants to do, did he even ask NATO if this was ok, I'm sure he didn't!!"

there are a lot of troll like statements being posted to this board by a plethora of people. I have learned to ignore them and just continue to debate/toss ideas with people who can have that conversation. There is a lot of what is posted here that most people agree with b/c most people utilize common sense. As I have said before Trump is maddening on a lot of ways he presents on a topic, it irritates me. I also don't particular care for a lot of his ideas. That said, I do think there are a lot of people out there who have trouble looking at anything he does objectively, I am convinced of that. I am also convinced that for the last 20 years, our DOJ has been weaponized against the other side depending who is in charge. Etc etc.

Point being - here - just ignore some of the absolute crap that is being posted as most of it IMO seems to always try to villainize Isarael in some shape or form. I have never understood this, never will and quite frankly just ignore it. End of day - Iran is the epitome of bad, we all hope that somehow this incursion will help right history. Time will tell.

Tom...oooooooooh...thanks for the post...but I'm cool...

I have never been called a "snowflake"...lol...but I have been called worse...

in the immortal words of Alfred E. Neuman..."What...me worry?"...

it rolled off me like water on a duck's back...

I truly enjoy reading other poster's comments on this thread...

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2.9 percent on the first trading day after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and another 11 percent over the next four months. But the Dow returned 20 percent in 1942 and then doubled over the next three years.

An equivalent drop today would be 1,349.

Thanks for correcting me.

As usual.

It’s hard to find news sources that make sense these days. IMO most news reporting seems less fact based and more editorializing. I saw this quote sometime ago and it resonated with me enough that I had to write it down.

“They stopped reporting the news and started telling us what they think the news is and what our opinion of that news should be. Americans have always been gullible, but they’re not stupid. Lie to them and they won’t trust you.”

Thanks for correcting me.

As usual.
Not correcting you but your post got me thinking so I checked to see how the Dow reacted the first business day after Pearl Harbor. By the way, the Dow was then 111 and did not hit 1,000 until 1972 and 10,000 not until 1999.

I can't see the Iranians continuing to block the strait purposely to tank the worldwide economy to put pressure on Trump to stop the war; their economy depends on the sale of oil too does it not, so they are tanking their own economy by not letting oil tankers through.

Oil is also getting out through pipelines vs tankers.

The UK among other countries are looking at ways to open the strait as well.

We live in a different world in 2026 than we did in 1941, I'm just glad my parents are not alive to see all of this, it would kill them.

And I'll defer to you and others who vividly recall how the Vietnam war was reported on by the MSM; was it fair and honest or was it slanted to besmirch those in power at the time in an effort to turn the public against them, I'm curious as to what you recall as well as others on the forum who are a wee bit older than others here who were just kids during the war and didn't know pooe from shinola about what was going on.

I was a teenager in those days (started college in 1969) but my recollection and my readings since then was that the reporters on the ground after awhile saw that things didn’t start to make sense with what the administration and military was starting to say — the credibility gap — and they reported that. There was no attempt to turn against LBJ but the amount of deaths made an impact as did the failure to make progress.
