US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (9 Viewers)

If the blockade is intended to stop Iran's oil trade, I don't know why they waited so long. It seems like that might have been something done even before this conflict to put pressure on them. Given that Iran is apparently still threatening ships in the straits, I'm not exactly sure whose ships are getting through.
We need a blockade of the blockade that is blockading the first blockade.

That sounds a lot like going into the toilet and seeing it blocked, and sitting down and doing your business anyway. As you think 'that will show them'.

I think they are just blocking ships from leaving Iranian ports. Which is something that they should have done from the beginning. It's making Iran squeal like Ned Beatty in Deliverance. Costing them half a billion per day.

I would love to live in Southern California; my favorite place in the whole world is Laguna Beach. I love going to the beach. There is nothing more relaxing and could have done it every day if we’d moved there. We actually thought about moving there but basically our life is here and my son has his good friends here so here we are.
If you can pay millions for even a shack, don't mind an army of homeless zombie people, getting mugged, horrible traffic, having your home burn to the ground and/or paying high taxes for the privilage, then it is the perfect place. The ocean and weather are free. Everything else has been screwed up by the politicians.

Couldn't agree more; instead of spending billions and causing billions in damage, hit them where it hurts most, in the wallet.

Awful story about Iran getting ready to hang a young married couple for protesting. You won't see much about that in our media, however, because Trump can't be blamed for it.

I'm in the same boat; I want to leave MA in the worst way, but my family and friends are all here, same with my better half..........if we moved to another state, we're on our own, I'm sure we'd make friends, but at this stage, it's not worth it.
I have a seat on the same boat as you George, I would love to leave Illinois, but my family and friends live in Illinois. However, I may leave Cook County and move to a different part of Illinois. Although not much would be different as Cook County controls Illinois. I just hope our Governor doesn't get the Presidential nomination from the Dems. Although, the Democrats are usually their own worst enemy.

As you get older and put solid roots down, it's really hard to just up and move, leaving lifelong friends and family members behind.

The only place I'd consider moving to because I know the area like the back of my hand as I've been there more times than I can count is Gettysburg; not sure if it falls into the category of "It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there" or not. I love it there, but Summers would be a nightmare trying to get in and around town, so hard pass.

You might be surprised. I've moved around quite a bit. Lived on the east and west coast. You can adjust to almost anything. After a couple of weeks in a new place, it is like home. I was stuck in Moscow several years ago when the Icelandic volcano erupted and shutdown all the air traffic. By the time I left, I left like a local. People were asking me for directions. In terms of Gettysburg, as someone who has lived in that area for a long time, the crowds are surprisingly light and mostly limited to the battlefield. Outside of summer it is very quiet. They have a WWII museum here that I haven't visited. Overall, Gettysburg is a bit run down. Nothing like Williamsburg or some other historical places.

The blockade is brilliant. The Chinese are getting squeezed and putting pressure on Iran to cut a deal. Iran is losing billions. Even they will have to come to their senses at some point. Trump might actually salvage this situation. Not a complete victory but quite a few gains. More so than from decades in Afghanistan and Vietnam. All the handwringing about genocide and not knowing what he is doing will be replaced with criticism about something else.

get out with a permanent cease fire...get Lebanon to take control of Hezbollah...limit or cease production of Iran's high grade uranium with an agreement...this might work...Iran needs to concede several things...tall orders but I hope this comes to an end...

Interesting video giving a wider view.

He mentions Iranian storage issue, but doesn't elaborate on it, so for those not aware, Iran only has enough storage space for their oil production for about two weeks more, after that, they need to close off the wells, which will take weeks - months to restart.

We should have done this from the very start.
I'm sure the U.S. Navy is much more comfortable with blockading Iranian ports knowing that Iran's navy, air force and most of their missile launching capabilities have been destroyed. Those billions of dollars were much "better spent" than the billions that were sent to Iran on pallets of crisp new hundred dollars and in the form of unfrozen Iranian assets.

Just reread my post and it should've read 2 months of storage space

The gulf and straight will be safe now that France and Great Britain are set to lead a "Multinational mission" to protect peace in the Straight of Hormuz." The USA should thank these nations for their help.
