I'm sure the U.S. Navy is much more comfortable with blockading Iranian ports knowing that Iran's navy, air force and most of their missile launching capabilities have been destroyed. Those billions of dollars were much "better spent" than the billions that were sent to Iran on pallets of crisp new hundred dollars and in the form of unfrozen Iranian assets.

Iran certainly will have lost many of their missile launchers kept underground when their underground facilities were bombed at the start and of course the specialist who'd be needed to launch missiles and others who the regime stationed in these underground facilities as well, so could explain in part, why the Iranian regime have bought in Iraqis, Afghans and Pakistani militia friendly to the IRGC to keep a lid on the ordinary Iranian people who the regime kept down having killed tens of thousands when they demonstrated as well as the thousands they've been executing in order to stay in power.

What a day for Trump and America. The Dow is surging, oil prices are plunging, it sounds like there is a deal to keep the straits open and end Iran's nuclear program. Wow. It was messy but if this comes together more progress has been made in a few weeks than the last 50 years. Will any credit be given? Of course not.

Oil prices are down because the straits are open because of the cease fire in Lebanon but that only lasts 10 days. Hezbollah is not a party to it but is respecting it so far but that can change.

Nothing has otherwise been agreed to which is the parties are supposed to have a meeting this weekend.

Trump is being optimistic but then he’s also said that the war is over and changed his mind so many times I’d take anything he says with a grain of salt until there is a deal.

Some pundit on CNN a couple of weeks ago argued that gas prices would not return to pre conflict levels until 2036! You have to wonder if he was just trying to spin this in the most negative light for political purposes or that he was a shill for the oil companies. Oil prices are below $90 per barrel today. Will CNN be putting an oil price ticker on their website to track the dramatic fall in oil prices as they did when they increased. Let me guess - no. The "genocide" also didn't occur.

Doug...you're being pretty bullish on a possible quick end to this...there are still more than a few concessions that Iran has balked on agreeing to...I hope you are right and this expensive war and loss of American lives is on the cusp of ending...now that we have finally come to a temporary cease fire is a good start...but I'm not as optimistic right now as you are...I have been hearing over and over how this war has been finished for over 1 1/2 months now...I hope you are right and all our points on an end of war are met...but I'm not celebrating yet...not hardly...

In addition, they are going to need to nail down every detail — that’s why treaties take long to negotiate — but the US team doesn’t inspire confidence in that regard. In previous attempts at negotiating other conflicts they haven’t nailed down every detail and those efforts floundered. The recent Iran cease fire is a perfect example. We all want a good deal for Israel and ourselves. Israeli safety is my main concern.

Contrast what is happening with how the media and many politicians spun this event. Is it still possible that there are challenges and things will not go exactly as planned? Of course. But was there genocide and WWIII with no end in sight and no plan? Those were blatant lies perpetuated to undermine Trump and the US. Intentional and knowing lies in my opinion designed to influence public opinion.

One of mine dropped by 17 grand in value, that 17 grand has been earned back ON TOP of another 5 grand, another of my investments tanked by 5K, it's now UP by close to 10K.......................

It's now 6:00PM EST, it's happy hour somewhere, I'm off to celebrate and get lit...............if this keeps up, that whole putting off retirement until I'm 109 might be off the table.

Also, tomorrow I'm going to view a massive toy soldier collection, it filled a box truck, the guy selling it does estate close out purchases, this is just the tip the iceberg from his purchase, he's also got anitques, LP's, general toys, arcade games, etc, etc, he told me today "Do me a favor and take this stuff off my hands"......................ok, sure thing.

He's half Italian and half Greek; "Guerriero shoots; HE SCORES!!"...........gee, and I could be heading to the Gettysburg toy soldier show tomorrow instead.

IRAN’s 10 point peace plan…

1. Non-Aggression Commitment: A fundamental pledge from the US that it will not attack Iran.
2. Strait of Hormuz Control: Iran retains leverage over the waterway, imposing regulations on safe passage, which may include a potential fee on ships.
3. Nuclear Enrichment: Acceptance of Iran’s right to uranium enrichment.
4. Sanctions Removal: Lifting all primary and secondary economic sanctions.
5. Agency Resolutions: Ending all International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolutions targeting Iran's nuclear program.
6. UN Security Council Action: Termination of all UN Security Council resolutions against Iran.
7. US Military Withdrawal: Removal of US combat forces from all bases within the region.
8. Financial Reparations: Compensation for damages suffered by Iran during the conflict.
9. Unfreezing Assets: The release of all Iranian assets and properties frozen abroad.
10. Regional Ceasefire: Ending conflicts, specifically involving Iranian allies (e.g., Hezbollah) and Israel.

I don’t see the US conceding these…

Somebody is lying to the American public…

Trump says Iranians have "agreed to everything," including removal of enriched uranium

President Trump spoke with CBS News Friday in a new telephone interview.

President Trump said in a phone interview that Iran has "agreed to everything," and will work with the U.S. to remove its enriched uranium.

He insisted that doing so will not involve U.S. ground troops. But when asked who would retrieve it, he would only say "our people."

"No. No troops," he said. "We'll go down and get it with them, and then we'll take it. We'll be getting it together because by that time, we'll have an agreement and there's no need for fighting when there's an agreement. Nice right? That's better. We would have done it the other way if we had to."

The president said the material would then be brought to the U.S.

"Our people, together with the Iranians, are going to work together to go get it. And then we'll take it to the United States," he said.

But within a couple of hours, a spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry released a statement that said in translation, "Enriched uranium is as sacred to us as Iranian soil and will not be transferred anywhere under any circumstances," and went on to say that "transferring uranium to the United States has not been an option."

Also...though Axios reported that the Trump administration was discussing the possibility of releasing $20 billion in frozen Iranian assets in exchange for its nuclear stockpile, the president denied it: "No, we are not paying 10 cents."
