V2 Paint Problem? (1 Viewer)

Hi,just been looking at some of my undisplayed Models with my son and had the V2:) out ,he was pretty impressed as much as a 3year old can be?

I have the black and white version,but have noticed a major problem with one side of the black fins,it is totally flaking paint:eek:
Anybody else had these problems,how would i rectify the paint flakes?

Apologies if the paint problem has been posted before and lack of images i am just scared to touch or handle it in case of more paint loss:(

Get in touch with Figarti they may be able to help or, if you can gently remove the flakes with some very fine emery boards and repaint yourself. Should be good as new. I have not had any problems with mine so, cannot think why this would happen apart from humidity etc but, the paints used normally, are not too badly, affected by this feature.

Not much help but, hopefully Figarti can assist

Not too sure about repainting, what about a primer otherwise once painted you still could see where the flakes had been?
 
This subject has been discussed before and Figarti has asked that you contact them directly. They will make the repairs and send back to you. Since you are in the UK, I would contact Clive (Lurchio on this Forum).

Mate had the same prob mine got all sorted no dramas contact Peter he will help you out.

Well i am going to sort it out myself,i have removed all the flaking black paint and will mask off the areas affected, prime them with grey auto primer,sand, then i will respray the black using Games Workshop Chaos Black Primer Spray(its a matt finish) should be ok .:confused:
Then i noticed some of the white is becoming loose,but its not white its more like cream so i am only going to touch this up using Humbrol Acrylic RC416 with more white added:eek:

Will let you know how it goes?

I also spoke to Clive (Lurchio) and just managed to get my hands on his last JS-2 and a JSU-152 so will see what they are like:)

Since the forum has been used to air quality issues, and rightfully so, I must add a positive comment about Rick and company.

I recently had a problem with the German AFV Flakvierling and Rick patiently corresponded back and forth until the issue was resolved. He had his right hand man, Peter Wang, send a replacement and the issue was solved.

I also had to the pleasure to meet Rick, Peter, and crew at the Chicago 09 show and they are indeed one of my favorite companies. Just super nice guys. If anyone has an issue, just contact Rick and he will make you happy!
 
Will the new V2 be in the same ready to launch style or, on a transporter etc or, is that information we are not getting yet? I have the range and, the V1 and thought they were great additions to the 1/30 range

:):) Keeping my a sharp look-out for the next V-2 .......Missed out on initial releases....but would still rather see a 1:30 scale Eastern Front Tiger or Panzer IV (short muzzle version).....Rick is this a possibility;)
