Just when I thought the Last Patrol Miniatures Vietnamese buildings were retired and all sold out, Julie got them in 😃. Today was a great delivery day: LPM BLD004 (Electronics Store), BLD005 (Pharmacy), BLD006 (Barbershop), BLD009 (Alleyway & Corner), and MAT003 (Cobblestone Mat) as well as VN107 (Blue Vespa Girl) which has been retired since 2021 and was a lucky find.

I spent the afternoon rearranging my Vietnam Street shelf display. The addition of the LPM buildings has given it more depth.

Mike,
All your buildings have filled nicely. Lots of depth with your additions and lots of detail. What material is the roadway?
Steve

Thank you very much Steve. The cobblestone road mat is made out of neoprene. It was 12 inches x 36 inches as are all the available LPM mats. My shelf is 35 inches long so I had to cut an inch off of one end. It cut very easily with a utility razor knife.

Looks great Mike! I have done similar things with somewhat 3-D building facades by Hudson & Allen and backdrops to create an illusion of depth in a City scene. When you find the correct angles for your set up, the combination can really pop. Here are some photos of one of my combination scenes, involving the Franco-Prussian War:

Hi Mikr

Love your set up and congrats on the LP buildings

I got the 3 LP Vietnam buildings but missed out on the Bar and coke machine I also have the cobbled road mat to go with the 6 Roman facades I purchased.

My go to for buildings and scenics at the moment are Sheffield Miniatures and Jakob from Denmark who does some wonderful stuff.

Gary

The LP facades are so appropriate for the Vietnam series, as you mentioned, lucky find. Robin.

Not so much a lucky find as much as Julie was able to order some from LPM. In any case I'm extremely happy to have been able to collect them.

Thanks Gary. Like you, I have missed the Sunset Bar facade and the Coca Cola machine Alleyway. The bar facade will probably become my "holy grail". I have the 2 bar girls and they really do need the bar.

You're doing a very good job on your Vietnamese street scene Mike, those LP facades really do lift the whole scene 👏🏻

The Bar certainly is a rarity. Some of the K&C French village facades are also like hens teeth.
I would love to have the creamery SP056 and Deux Maisons SP060. I have the rest in the series and will probably turn to Jakob to commission similar buildings.

Thanks Steve. Much appreciated. I'm still playing around with the arrangement of all the elements 🤔. My imagination is on overtime right at the moment.
