Ya gotta luv delivery day. For some time now I have been drawn to the new WB Village Green range. Last week I took advantage of the WB Collectors Club fall special before it ended and purchased several sets. They were delivered today and I must say they are very well done and impressive looking. With winter almost here I'm prepping for a new display I've been wanting to do featuring the Village Green offerings I plan to post a new thread here when I start this project.

Nice sets. I also collect the "Village Green" series but focus on their Napoleonic era offerings.

Thanks Brendan. I'm working on an idea featuring a small farmstead located in the Ohio River valley in late September 1860 just prior to the start of the American Civil War

I will be looking forward to seeing your new display Mike!
Thanks Ken. I am looking forward to the 19th Century clapboard house that I bought last week. Ted told me you were making the final adjustments to it and it will soon be ready to ship. Excited to receive it.

I think you will like it…Ericka finished the windows for me today, so it is almost ready to ship!

Thanks. I really appreciate the time and effort you, Erica, and team are putting into this.

A great fun day for ya. i have all of them but one and find them useful in varying scenes.

Thanks Steve. I know from our past conversations you had some of these figures and how much you liked them. One of the many reasons why I decided to collect some of the offerings from this range . . .

This is the 19th century House that Mike is getting. These are made here in our studio and feature an interior. The house comes with an iron stove, and we will be offering some of the other furnishings (also made here) you see in the photos soon. These photos are of the display I built for the Chicago show, with many of the figures permanently attached and one of our Old Growth trees modified with extra branches.

Nice haul of figures you got there Mike. I also took advantage of the WB members sale.

Some of the items I got were civilian figures. My favorite of the bunch being the Phyllis Wheatley figure, which is very well done and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in it.

. . . Looking forward to receiving it Ken. I'm pleasantly surprised . . . I didn't realize the iron stove is provided with it. Another idea I suggested to Ted the other day is a white picket fence offering. The one used in your Chicago show display really adds a lot of "curb appeal"

Thank you very much Mark. WB club membership does have it's advantages doesn't it. All the Village Green figures look great. What's nice about this range is the different time periods represented such as the late 18th Century AWI time frame, the early 19th Century War of 1812 time frame, and the mid 19th Century ACW time frame. I'm working on a pre ACW scenario circa September 1860 that takes place in Southern Ohio.

W Britains did do some Victorian era furniture a few years ago for their Zulu range, perhaps they will consider re-releasing or doing something similar to go with this Village Green range.

We have those also, but at the moment they are also made as they are requested. If you need fencing, we will need to know what footprint you are covering and we can build you sections. This is the same fencing that you see in my Chicago diorama.

Thanks Ken. I will contact you when I decide on the coverage I need

perfect

The 19th Century One Story Clapboard House that I ordered from WB, handmade and painted by Ken and Erica Osen & staff was delivered this evening. Well worth the wait. It is well detailed and came with glazed windows, a Certificate, Historical background information, as well as a cast iron stove. This will be perfect for my plans to make a mid 19th century homestead in southern Ohio circa October 1860 just before the Presidential election and of course the American Civil War. My plan is to make a 2-foot x 3-foot display of the Charles Johnson family homestead located east of Athens, Ohio and west of Warren's Station, Ohio on the road which is now US Route 50. I imagined this story line because I lived in Athens for several years and am familiar with it's history. I will be posting the progress on a separate thread here once I begin this winter project.
